Agree. I bought it in January and it is still useless. They did readily accept my payment though!

No need to be testy - I did see that as it was a response to my question.

My daughter and her boyfriend bought a home and had a baby in 2025. He makes a bit more then her. If one takes the HoH deduction, can the other take all of the mortgage int for Itemizing? Also, does it matter who gets the child tax credit? Finally, the DCFSA, does it matter who does it? I am sure if one took all of the above mentioned, there is no problem at all. But, if its split, does it raise red flags? Thx, Don

I am unable to post my 1099-R data from pensions to the 2025 TurboTax Premier edition installed on my PC. I get this message: "This section is unavailable while we work on updates for recent tax law changes." Curiously, I was able to post the entry for my social security 1099-R. I've used TurboTax for many years and have never encountered this problem. Thoughts?

Hey Robert, thanks for your input. I'm grateful to hear your thoughts on no.1 and no.2, but would like to further get your thoughts on no.3. You mentioned "If you never received the money at Celcius and it was never actually added to your account then it can't be part of the basis of the currency" but I think this is inaccurate. My account value and holdings did increase on Celsius, I just never cashed out but I could have if I did so before their default. It was an interest payment, so effectively its like I got the interest , then i bought additional shares with that money. I paid taxes on the interest because i got 1099 at the end of the year. So effectively my cost basis on those shares i received as interest payment should be what I paid taxes on interest income via 1099? Please let me know your thoughts.

FORM 3903 is Moving Expense which is unrelated to form 1099-R. SO the TurboTax software doesn't even sign you up for the correct form when you ask to be notified when Turbo tax will be updated to accept 1099-R data. This is not very reassuring!

I have regular W2 income and work a side job as an independent contractor that I will get a 1099 for. I also will have expenses for this 1099 job. I like to download my turbo tax to my computer and need to know what version i need. I usually use Deluxe when i only had w2 income. I dont have much for 1099 income less then $1,000 and less then $200 in expenses. Can i still use the Deluxe verison?

It is a problem in the desktop software too. It looks as though the max contribution amount has not been updated to the 2025 number. So this is not an issue of whether or not the IRS has not finalized a form. It is showing up for me on the SEP/Keogh/401k worksheet, Individual 401(k), line 6a. It marks a contribution of $23,500 as red (i.e. wrong) but will allow a contribution of $23,000.
