You probably answered a question incorrectly in MY INFO.   Go back to MY INFO.   Click her name, and go slowly and carefully through the questions again.   Read every screen top to bottom.   Make sure you have entered your child as a dependent in My Info, and that you have entered the child's Social Security number.    Careful— do not say that your child’s SSN is not valid for employment.  If your child was born in 2025 make sure you said he lived with you the whole year.  There is an oddly worded question that asks if the child paid over half their own support.  Say NO to that question.

@shieldsmarie19 wrote: Self employment  What are you doing?   Do you need to report a 1099-MISC for income you received, or do you have a small business that needs to prepare a 1099-MISC to present to someone?   If you are self-employed as a small Schedule C business, such as an independent contractor, normally non-employee compensation would be on a 1099-NEC.  If you received a 1099-MISC from someone, what box is the income in?
Please provide some context for your question, and someone should be able to comment.   What are you trying to do in regard to a 1099-MISC?  And what type of income?
I must have accidentally clicked it when finalizing my taxes. I got charged an extra 39$ not sure how to undo it now.
I'm stuck. It wants me to enter line 1b(1) what is that? I'm tired. What is it?

When I click "back", it goes to my personal info, then back to saying my minor child is ineligible. Going back to the main page does not have an option to start a new return, even though that's what it says to do in order to correct the mistake.
