Thank you I figured that out because when I took out the 0 # in box 16 and 18, even though that number zero was on my tax form 1099 miscellaneous, not blank, but then it allowed instead of putting the state. But I really had zero under royalties and no, there’s nothing in any amount in any of the boxes. It was all either zeros or blank. So I don’t even honestly think the form ended up going through. It might’ve just done it as a worksheet, but it wouldn’t let me file taxes otherwise. But since the bank sent that I had to try to submit it because I think if they send you what you’re supposed to submit it. But it’s kind of annoying that the bank even sent that because there’s nothing on there amount wise, and it just messes up the taxes. But I’m glad my estimated guest to do it that way and submit taxes today was correct. I’m just going leave this thread up, though if it helps anyone else because it took me a few hours extra trying to figure it out. so maybe the issue is a TurboTax era that it doesn’t let you file without that information more than the bank that sent it? I’m not sure. Tax should have a better way to handle that though.

Try returning to the state section and going through the screens again. If that doesn't work, reply back.

I had the same issue. And read this in the tread.in order to transfer your 2024 info all of it. It has to be a turbo tax file. It can't be a pdf version of your taxes. So find your 2024 version of turbo tax look in its folders and transfer that file into turbo tax 2025. You'll have to start over with a new 2025 tax return but it beats having to input all that info manually!!! Hope this helps

There can be reasons for this, and in some cases, TurboTax may be wrong.
Read the instructions for 3d and 3e. This may help you to determine whether the number as calculated by TurboTax is correct. (there are cases where the number will not conform to the IRS instructions. For example, entering multiple security trades on a single line on Form 8949. Losses don't count but there's no way for TurboTax to know this. You would have to go to the foreign tax section of TurboTax to modify gross income from all sources.

TurboTax wants me to separate out Missouri qualified health premiums between my husband ("taxpayer") and me ("spouse"). His insurance is covered by Medicare premiums (paid directly by him, not through SS). The insurance that covers me also covers our children. Is it correct to include the premiums for me+children in the "spouse" column? Next year, my husband and I will each be covered by Medicare and our children will be covered separately. Will we still be able to include the premiums to cover them? If so, would their premiums still go in the spouse column?

Where did TT get the 1099-Q information from to start with? Was it imported directly from the organization that holds the plan, read from a PDF file, or entered by hand during the TT steps? Compare the real form 1099-Q, and make sure that TT has the right data from each of the boxes in its version of the form. In particular, look for the problem I reported a couple of days ago, where TT insisted on checking the "recipient is not the designated beneficiary" box, which would make the rollover ineligible (if it were true) and cause the cascade of wrong tax treatment you describe. On page 2, verify whether your QTP-to-Roth rollover met all the conditions listed under Line 5, and make sure that the appropriate box on 5a/b/c is marked. An incorrect selection here would likewise make the rollover ineligible.

Once your tax return is accepted, the IRS takes over processing. If the IRS refund tool says that your refund was issued today but it hasn't arrived, it is often due to banking processing times, which can take 1-5 additional business days.
For status updates, you can use the IRS tool Where's my Refund?. You can also use the tools TurboTax site tracking tool.

While filing Schedule B, I incorrectly said "Yes" on Question 7 (a) - "are you required to file FinCEN Form 114, Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR), to report that financial interest or signature authority". After filing for my taxes (using TurboTax), I realized that I do not need to file FBAR as my foreign assets are under the $10k limit. How do I fix this error?

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities. There is no rule as to which one will come in first or how long it will be between their arrival in your account.
TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
https://www.irs.gov/refunds
To track your state refund:
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr
If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh
.
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst
If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act. Do not expect your refund before early March
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US
Note: “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”. TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing. Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing. If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.
FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE:
https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund
How it works
Where's My Refund shows your refund status:
Return Received – We received your return and are processing it.
Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown.
Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.
