I have the exact same issue online. This is not good at all. BTW there are also obvious spelling and grammar issues in the pages that lead up to that page. It seems like the quality of TurboTax has gone way downhill this year. There is no way I am submitting that form because it clearly says that it will be transmitting the federal taxes. Did y'all lay off a bunch of software engineers and decide to do this with AI?

I want the full installers of the various Turbotax years I've used in case I need to reload them to access older returns - and I want the updates/patches too so that when I do so (even if Intuit no longer has those versions available) I can install at least the version I created my returns with.   Intuit used to provide CDROMs; and we could download the patches as executables (remember perrelpatch?). But now we download what appears to be a web installer. In 10 years when I need to re-access a business return (not necessarily for tax reasons, but maybe for a lawsuit) I want the have the software that I paid for available onsite. I don't want to depend on Intuit retaining old versions and patches.   This applies to business, home& business, premier, and deluxe, all of which I've used at various times and for various entities; in my case, all Windows editions. I have my activation keys; but in later versions I do NOT have an offline (meaining NOT WEB BASED) installer.   Please tell me how to do this!!!

To report a 1099-NEC received as a nontaxable insurance settlement (return of capital), you can enter it under Personal Income, Form 1099-NEC. Where TurboTax asks, "What type of income is on your 1099-NEC?" you can choose Lawsuit Settlement. In the alternative, you can enter it in Miscellaneous Income, Other Reportable Income.   Then, if all of the amount is a nontaxable return of capital, go next to Miscellaneous Income, Other Reportable Income, enter an explanation and enter the amount again as a negative number.   TurboTax, including the Mac version, is not allowing most fields to be overridden where they are the result of a calculation.    Lawsuit settlements are typically reported on Form 1099-MISC. See this help article for more information.   @BadDNA

Line 6a on Form 1040 shows the total Social Security benefits you received, while line 6b shows the taxable portion of those benefits. If your Social Security income on line 6a is more than zero but the taxable part is zero, you must enter your total benefits on line 6a and enter 0 on line 6b. This means you report the full amount received but indicate that none of it's taxable. Filling line 6b with zero ensures correct tax reporting when the taxable amount is zero.

This lets you report your Social Security income even if you have no W-2 entered.

Really? You couldn't figure out the question from the Subject of this message?

After multiple downloads of macOS version of Home and Business, I can click on the download .dmg file, which then opens the installer, and copy the program to my applications folder. When I click on the icon, MacOs asks if I want to open the program, and I click yes. The program is verified and starts to open, but the Icon just bounces up and down in my dock for about ten seconds, and then disappears. The end result is that I am unable to open turbotax, and even put in my activation code. I'm running MacOS 26.3.1(a).
Thank you for the token.  We are looking into the issue and will respond as soon as we have information to share.

Dental expenses, including dental implants, are considered deductible medical expenses if you itemize your deductions on Schedule A (Form 1040). These expenses can include fees paid for dental care such as dental implants, crowns, braces, and other dental treatments necessary for medical reasons. However, the total medical and dental expenses must exceed 7.5% of your adjusted gross income (AGI) to be deductible. Only the unreimbursed portion of these expenses can be deducted. So, if insurance or other sources reimburse you, you can only deduct what you actually paid.   To enter dental expenses including dental implants in TurboTax Online, follow these steps: 1. Go to the Federal section. 2. Select Deductions & Credits. 3. Scroll down to the Medical Expenses section and click Start or Revisit. 4. Answer the questions about your medical and dental expenses. 5. When prompted, enter your dental expenses including implants under the dental care subsection. 6. Include only the unreimbursed amounts you paid during the tax year. TurboTax will help calculate if your total medical expenses exceed the deduction threshold. Remember: You must itemize deductions on Schedule A to claim these medical and dental expenses.
Hmmm---we seemed to have hit a snag.....try again or come back later. A couple of weeks should be plenty of time...
