After multiple downloads of macOS version of Home and Business, I can click on the download .dmg file, which then opens the installer, and copy the program to my applications folder. When I click on the icon, MacOs asks if I want to open the program, and I click yes. The program is verified and starts to open, but the Icon just bounces up and down in my dock for about ten seconds, and then disappears. The end result is that I am unable to open turbotax, and even put in my activation code. I'm running MacOS 26.3.1(a).

Dental expenses, including dental implants, are considered deductible medical expenses if you itemize your deductions on Schedule A (Form 1040). These expenses can include fees paid for dental care such as dental implants, crowns, braces, and other dental treatments necessary for medical reasons. However, the total medical and dental expenses must exceed 7.5% of your adjusted gross income (AGI) to be deductible. Only the unreimbursed portion of these expenses can be deducted. So, if insurance or other sources reimburse you, you can only deduct what you actually paid.
To enter dental expenses including dental implants in TurboTax Online, follow these steps: 1. Go to the Federal section. 2. Select Deductions & Credits. 3. Scroll down to the Medical Expenses section and click Start or Revisit. 4. Answer the questions about your medical and dental expenses. 5. When prompted, enter your dental expenses including implants under the dental care subsection. 6. Include only the unreimbursed amounts you paid during the tax year. TurboTax will help calculate if your total medical expenses exceed the deduction threshold. Remember: You must itemize deductions on Schedule A to claim these medical and dental expenses.

I live in NJ, but work in NY. I finished my New York filing, and have reached the "Taxable State Wages" part for New Jersey, where it says 'Check "Remove These Wages" for each state wage line that is a duplicate. Typically, New Jersey wages should be higher than federal wages because New Jersey does not allow the same federal deductions.' Based on what I see in other answers, I should remove the New York line, but the amounts for both are different, so they are not duplicate. Do I still remove it?

Yes, the difference between an Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN, 6 digits) and an e-File PIN (5 digits) is confusing and the difference isn't explained clearly by the TurboTax software or the IRS. However, the instructions that other responders have provided here are correct for entering the IP PIN. Note that if you do enter an IP PIN, I found that its first 5 digits were automatically entered as the e-File PIN when I was walking through the steps to file electronically.
