SAME PROBLEM but also the amount calculated is incorrect for the additional tax.   PLEASE STOP telling people trivial delay tactic recommendations. (Clear Cache and Cookies, etc. etc.)   Something is severely broken in the desktop software at least for Amended Returns.   Mine shows a large tax already owed from the start (instead of going to zero as it should and is stated it would.)   I also don't get a 1040X in the printout but rather just a copy of the original filed return. But the bigger problem is the math doesn't work for the delta tax amount.   I have been using TurboTax for over 25 years and it isn't my first time filing amended returns either.  I am a software engineer myself, so I am disappointed in the Tech Support delay tactics to avoid admission of obvious bugs.   The only acceptable answer is estimate of when the bug will be fixed and will the software automatically adjust or we need to re-enter the changes.
Yes, refiling a rejected return doesn't count as one of your five Efiles.  Contact TurboTax Support to have them reset this for you.   @lkmcneice

I have large short-term and long-term capital losses (from the stock market) carried over from 2024. The California check asks me to fill in line 9a of the "California Carryover Worksheet" (2025). Why is it asking me this?   I used TT last year (and many years before that), so TT should have calculated the unused carryover amount from 2025 to 2026.   Please help.

Have you tried removing the zero that is there - clearing the field out completely and then re-entering zero?   If you are using the desktop software, go into Forms and look for the Red Exclamation point(s) and see if you can successfully delete and re-enter.     And make sure your software is updated.   @KOCF
My total standard deduction should be $46,700. I qualify for this additional senior deduction, why is it not being figured correctly?

@user17748294106 check the 8949s tho... the 8949 that is meant to be sent with 8453 should have the details of the sales items with adjustments or non-covered sales.  This mailing is usually triggered because the 8949s in your return have summary entries without the sufficient details.  If your Form 8949s from Turbotax don't have those details and say "see attached statement" then mailing those to the IRS isn't helpful as you already e-filed them; the usual substitute to send which has the details is the 1099B.   In Forms mode on Desktop at the bottom of the Capital Asset Sales Entry Worksheets you will see a Yes/No flag whether you need to mail the IRS or not which will tell you which 1099B is causing it.   I don't use import but thought it was meant to avoid this by importing at detailed level with the adjustment detail; maybe you have non-covered items or other situation triggering it for some reason.   I agree this is a waste of time to send IRS paper copies of 1099s it already has, and I doubt the IRS even looks at these below a certain threshold...

@carolyn85russell  Or is this what you were ultimately wanting to ask?   Did you already file, but have now printed out your documents?   Is someone like a loan officer asking for a signed copy of your return?   If so, just sign and date it.  I would probably use the date that I had efiled it.

Did you efile?   In order to efile you have to electronically sign the return before it will let you transmit it.  There is no physical signature.   You "sign" on a page that asks for a 5-digit PIN (any 5 digits of your choice),  your birth date, and today's date.   When you enter those 3 things, that is what "signs" your return.   Did you do that, and then proceeded on to transmit the return?   Or see my next comment below for another possibility.

Thank you for the update.  This should fix the increased credit (5x multiplier) for the less than 1 MW systems as a limited exception to PWA.  Hopefully the TT update will also fix the TT error of requiring a 7220 for less than 1 MW systems, since that is what is preventing us all from e-filing.

Common Solutions for Error 630 Run as Administrator: Right-click the TurboTax icon and select "Run as administrator" to ensure proper activation. Rename or Delete Data Folder: Locate and rename the C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Intuit\TurboTax folder to force the program to create a new, uncorrupted configuration file. Is it the 2024 or the 2024 program that gives the error?  You may need to uninstall/reinstall a fresh download.  Sign In to your Intuit account and go to Products/Downloads after uninstalling the old program.   @mpeluso
