The Zip code on my Wells Fargo Mortgage interest form is entered correctly, is thee a fix?
Virginia state taxes, when scheduled via TurboTax, are generally withdrawn on the specific date you chose during filing, if your tax return was accepted. Processing can take a few extra business days.

You will be able to access the 2024 return you started by using the exact same account and user ID that you used when you started it.   But you can no longer use online software for any further changes.       Start a 2025  return online and enter some personal information  so that the menu on the left opens up and lets you access your past year returns.   Online tax preparation and e-filing for 2024  returns is now permanently closed.    Now it is too late to use online software or to e-file. If you have any changes/corrections at all to make to your 2024 return, you now have to complete it using desktop software, which you must download to a full PC or Mac  (not to a mobile device). Then you need to print, sign and mail it.   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/printers-printing/finish-prior-year-return-started-turbotax-online/L9Oe4M90A_US_en_US?uid=m68tffpe   If you already paid for your online software you can ask customer support for a download of the desktop software.   They are available from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pacific time   https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899263-what-is-the-turbotax-phone-number     If you are getting a refund, there is no penalty for filing late.  If you owe tax due, then file and pay the amount due as shown on the Form 1040, but expect a bill later from the IRS for the penalty and interest you will owe.  Only the IRS will calculate this—TurboTax will not calculate it.     When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.   Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
Thank you!   If there is something I can do to try to help debug this problem, please let me know.  I'm willing to try stuff.

Thanks for your response.  After the first time it filed my amended return with Zero Due, and it was rejected by Illinois, I did in fact go back and change the amount due in Forms line 31.  I e-filed it again, and AGAIN, turbo tax changed the amount due to zero.   And of course it was also rejected by Illinois because it said I previously filed and was accepted by IL.  I'm assuming it was rejected because the amended return showed zero due.  so there that issue also where I can't even get a return accepted by IL.  But i guess that's good since the return where zero due is incorrect anyway.   I wish Turbo Tax would respond here and figure out why the software is changing my return from $51 due to zero due.
I’ve received the loan information for my federal Payments but not my state taxes

I would like to take a deeper look at this. However, I need a diagnostic file which is a copy of your tax return that has all of your personal information removed.  PLEASE DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES NOR REVISIT THE SECTION PRIOR TO SENDING THE DIAGNOSTIC .  You can send one to us by following the directions below:   TurboTax Online:   Sign into your online account. Locate the Tax Tools on the left-hand side of the screen. A drop-down will appear. Select Tools On the pop-up screen, click on “Share my file with agent.” This will generate a message that a diagnostic file gets sanitized and transmitted to us. Please provide the Token Number that was generated in the response.   TurboTax Desktop/Download Versions:   Open your return. Click the Online tab in the black bar across the top of TurboTax and select “Send Tax File to Agent” * This will generate a message that a diagnostic copy will be created.  Click on OK and the tax file will be sanitized and transmitted to us. Please provide the Token Number  (including the dash) that was generated in the response.   *(If using a MAC, go to the menu at the top of the screen, select Help, then, “Send Tax File to Agent”)

Full time US - always.  This is not the issue.  The issue is the deductibility of Social Security benefits. Turbo tax seems to think benefits are fully excluded from earnings for a joint return greater than $150,000.  Not true.  Worksheets A and 1 in IRS Publication  915 tell you what your Adjusted Gross Income is according to the IRS and it may be different higher Turbotax.

@emsolari02 wrote:   TurboTax does not properly fill out form 8962. Specifically, if you have a monthly difference in subsidy (perhaps because you’ve had your estimated income adjusted), TurboTax does not fill out Part II lines 12 thru 23.    TurboTax does not consider the income thresholds when asking if dependents have filed a return. The IRS uses dependent incomes for the ACA’s MAGI computation but only if the (individual, not cumulative) dependents had incomes greater than the IRS’s threshold of $15,000.00.  TurboTax only asks if dependents filed a return and then blindly adds the total amount to the MAGI.       That is not an error; varying Advance Credit amounts do not trigger the requirement to use line 12-23.  See the Instructions for line 10 of Form 8962. https://www.irs.gov/instructions/i8962#en_US_2024_publink100014008   I think it used to be buried somewhere in the 'learn more' links, but you are right, even if it is hidden there somewhere it needs to be more obvious.  As a side note, it isn't always strictly limited to income over $15,750.   If a child dependent has a certain amount of "unearned" income (interest, dividends, capital gains, taxable scholarships, etc.), they may be required to file a tax return for less than $15,750, which could also trigger the need to enter their income for the Premium Tax Credit on Form 8962.

Are you able to send a diagnostic copy of your return using the instructions above so I can look into this.  As DoninGA stated above there is a screen after you enter the SSA-1099 that asks you if you lived in one of the above countries and or if you lived in the US.  If you answered in a manner to say you do not live in the US but you do live in one of those countries, your social security would not have been included in taxable income.
Yes, it when I entered my Social Security. I have put No to living outside the US but it was switched to Yes.  It really messed me up.
The original question was asked in 2019, when RMD age was 70½.  In that year the RMD for the qualified retirement plan would have to have been satisfied before rolling any amounts over to an IRA

I agree with this user, Turbotax still calculates my 2025 Federal taxable Social Security benefits at zero.  The IRS taxed 67% of my benefits due to my income.  We received the full enhanced deductions for seniors, but the IRS changed my return to add back 67% of my Social Security benefits income as taxable.  I was able to replicate the IRS result by downloading and using IRS Publication 915, (Worksheets A and 1).  I see no schedules like this in turbotax even today. April 21.  This has been a major headache requiring hours of my time.

Schwab sent me a corrected 1099 on Apr. 14, one day after I filed my taxes so now I have to file an amended return.  I have not done amended taxes before and I have a few questions before I start.      Will I be able to download and import the one corrected 1099 from Schwab using the Turbotax amendment process?  I currently have 3 accounts but only one was corrected and needs to be changed.   I understand that I can submit my amended federal return through Turbotax without additional charges - is that correct?   Will Turbotax guide me through an update of my Maryland state return, and can I submit my amended return electronically again (I already paid once for state e-file).   Thanks for any help you can provide.
