So far, I haven't even received an email. However, at least it doesn't say "available soon" anymore. It now displays a number there for 2025 since I assume it's my solar carryover. I still need to add a heat pump and hybrid hot water heater that I installed in 2025.

My form needs to be seriously amended, data has been duplicated

Why isn't anyone who's filed before 01/16/2026 being submitted or sent to the irs for hub testing?

My husband and I have separate logins for Marcus by Goldman Sachs and separate accounts.  I'm attempting to import the 1099-INT forms from both logins (each under our separate SSNs) into our joint tax return.  Once the first import is made (which works fine), I move on to the second import and when the second individual's set of forms (another login, same institution) are found and ready to import, my only option is to "Import and Delete Old Data" for Marcus.  Thus, I have to manually enter one of the two individuals' forms.  This was not a problem in past years' TurboTax software.   The programming apparently doesn't envision that you would legitimately want to conduct two imports from the same financial institution!  This will present a huge problem when I get around to importing our brokerage account data from other institutions when they are released in a few weeks.  These are complex consolidated 1099s with an enormous number of transactions.   Can someone look into this?

You may have received an automated email indicating that Form 5695 (Residential Energy Credits) was available. While the form has been finalized, the final software update is still being deployed, and some customers may not yet see the form available in their product. The update is actively rolling out across all platforms, and full access will be available once deployment is complete. No action is needed from you at this time. Check again tomorrow and/or this weekend to complete filing 5695. If you continue to see this form blocked after this weekend (1/25/26), please tell us in the replies below.

Yeah, I wondered about that when I was entering a 401k that had some small after tax contributions.   There is a question just prior to that setup, that asks: "For the years you received these distributions, was the total amount shown in the form the amount you paid tax on?"   If box 2a is filled in and shows the proper taxable amount, even if lower than box 1, just say YES to that, and the box 2a value will be used on your 1040 as the taxable amount, assuming there wasn't a rollover or xfer to a Roth involved...((box 5 should likely show the difference between box 1 and box 2a))   The question is probably there for folks who have box 2a empty, and the box checked that the taxable amount was undetermined. _______________________ Yeah, that's likely to cause a bunch of mis-entries by folks by those with different box 1 and box 2a values. I need to go to last year's software now to see how they worded the question.
Hi @M-MTax We'll look into this for you.
Oklahoma does not calculate registration fees based on the value of the vehicle, so the fee is not deductible.
No.  Vehicle registration fees are not an itemized deduction for OK.

If you receive Social Security benefits, your Medicare is deducted from your SS.   When you enter the SSA1099 for your Social Security, the amount paid for Medicare flows automatically to the medical expense section of the software, so do not enter it again.   If you paid any other out of pocket medical, vision, or dental insurance premiums that were not included in the amount shown on your SSA1099, those can be entered as itemized medical expenses.

Thanks for your reply! For the past couple decades of paying taxes, I have ALWAYS been able to pay the Turbo Tax product fees with my refund. State fees included. Getting the "You're not eligible to have the fees deducted from your refund" notice was really surprising and annoying since I cannot pay directly with my debit card due to financial constraints.   I'm hoping this is just some kind of glitch in the system since the IRS isn't accepting returns yet. No one I spoke to from customer service could give me an actual answer. Crossing fingers the glitch is fixed by the end of January.
