Fix these issues and your federal return will be ready to file. Answers to review "needs review" FIX I try to efile and it says I need to fix an answer. I click fix and it just reloads the same page over and over and this, in fact, is stopping me from being able to finish my efile.

No, you do not need the Form 6252, this is strictly for the tax return of the seller. The purchase sounds to me like you are purchasing a client list and goodwill. It's not a direct write off and will fall into one of the intangible category. See information below.
IRS Guide to Business Expense Resources
IRS Intangibles
Section 197 Intangibles
Goodwill & Going Concern: The value of a business exceeding its net identifiable assets, including reputation and customer loyalty.
Workforce in Place: The composition and experience of the existing workforce.
Information Bases: Customer lists, client files, or operating systems.
Intellectual Property: Patents, copyrights, formulas, processes, designs, and know-how.
Rights & Licenses: Government-granted licenses, permits, franchises, trademarks, and trade names.
Covenants Not to Compete: Agreements entered into during an acquisition
It will not be a deduction in full in the year of purchase.

Thank you for the information. When I enter the second 1099-R form what do I enter in the field RMD due by Dec. 31, 2025. I already entered the total amount in the first 1099-R form. Should I put zero for the second form or I do some kind of split of the total amount between the two forms that adds up to the total RMD?

How to Fix Import Issues (Error 378):
If you are receiving this message but your transactions are not appearing, it is likely due to browser security updates or blocked Local Network Access. Try the following solutions:
Enable Local Network Access: Click the "Lock" or "Tune" icon in your browser's address bar, look for Local Network Access, and toggle it to ON.
Refresh and Retry: After changing the setting, refresh the page and try the import again.
Use a Different Browser: If Chrome is not working, try Firefox or Safari.
Ensure Only One Window is Open: Make sure only one TurboTax instance is active and that you are not switching between Wi-Fi networks
Prior to 'import' options being made available, your tax return only needed to contain Category Summary Totals. Remember the IRS already has copies of all your 1099's.

TurboTax is requiring me to input a SSN or ITIN for my wife, but she does not have any of these and is not able to obtain it. She has never been to, or worked in, the USA.

If you requested a payment plan from the IRS, they will send you information in the mail for how to proceed. Usually takes about a month after they receive your payment plan request.

I reviewed your tax return and you checked "No" to the question “Is this LLC a business entity disregarded for tax purposes?”.
The bottom of the form informs you that you can't e-file form 568 if the LLC is a non-disregarded business entity.
If you are the sole owner of your LLC, the IRS disregards your LLC and consider you a sole proprietor. If you fit in this category, you should check yes and you will be able to e-file.
Refer to the TurboTax article LLC Tax Filing Rules for details regarding “disregarded entities” and the IRS web-site Single member limited liability companies for more information.
You also need to change your Secretary of State number. You have entered all 5's. If you don't have a SOS number, you can select "Other Reason" by the down arrow next to SOS Not Applicable Reason.

I click on Federal - Wages and Income - I get General Info, but then I never get to the part where I can actually add my income! Very strange... I was able to search for 1099-NEC and get to that section through the search, so those are entered. I have other income I want to manually enter and am not given the option.

@gcrespin Maybe....depends on other income....you didn't have to be working. For instance: 1)..any retirement pension income you received after moving to SC is considered SC taxable income. 2) ...ANY Interest, Dividends, Capital Gains, Mutual Fund distributions you received from any account, after you moved to SC, is considered SC income. ____________________ Other: SC does part-year taxes a bit differently form most states. For Part-Year residents, SC allows you to file either A) as a full-year resident, calculating a tax on ALL your year's income, but allowing a credit for the taxes you paid in the former state's part-year tax return....OR...B) as a full-year NON-Resident of SC, where you allocate what sub-portion of your Federal income you actually received after moving to SC. Which way works best can take some extra work testing both situations.
