Thank you for the response. Today I got past the check first time! I hadn't seen this so had not done the check you mention but had downloaded from other accounts from them. When I was wasting my time yesterday it went through my mind that maybe I didn't need to check on "little bits" eg tops of heads. Today I had one motorcycle with two people on it. You could see bike in every square except for the two heads. That did it. Whether it was my being less dumb than yesterday or the reCAPTCHA had been in error, I will never know! But I still have two accounts to download! Thanks again.

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
https://www.irs.gov/refunds
To track your state refund:
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr
If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing

If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act. Do not expect your refund before early March
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US
Note: “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”. TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing. Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing. If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.

You may be able to import your W-2 if your payroll provider is a TurboTax Import Partner. You will need information from your last paycheck stub to import. You will need your year to date gross income from your last paycheck stub and your employer's EIN.
Other options:
Contact your payroll department to request a duplicate W-2.
Contact the IRS for help at 1-800-829-1040. The IRS can help you with trying to obtain your W-2, or
File a Form 4852 as a substitute W-2 Form along with your tax return, but you will have to mail your tax return.
For more information, refer to the TurboTax Help article What To Do If You Haven't Received a W-2 and How do I file a substitute W-2 using Form 4852? Also refer to the TurboTax Help article How do I import or enter my W-2?

The TurboTax Free Edition is for taxpayers who have a simple Form 1040 and don't need extra schedules. If your tax situation involves things like home ownership deductions, unemployment income, or self-employment, you'll need to upgrade to a version like Deluxe to make sure those specific forms are handled correctly.
See Why do I have to upgrade from Free Edition? for more information.

You might be in a loop. When you try a recovery, you can't have any Intuit account open at all including this forum. In any case, here are the full instructions to recover account access. If one method fails, then go through the cleanup process again that I mention below in my bold NOTE.) Each attempt needs to start off with a freshly-cleaned browser. To get a list of your User IDs, reset password, and recover account access, etc., you can use the tool at the link below. When using the Account Recovery tool, try using your phone number first if you can still access it. After that, if necessary, then run the tool on your email address(es) you can access. NOTE: Before running the account recovery tool below, log out of all Intuit accounts including this user forum, or you might end up in a loop. Then clear your browser Internet cache, close your browser, then reopen it, and go to the link below. You may wish to copy this link so you can paste it into the new browser session. https://myturbotax.intuit.com/account-recovery If still no luck after running that on your phone number you can still access and email address(es) that you can access, here's another method: Go back to the tool again, but this time leave the data field blank, scroll down a bit, then choose the small blue link that says "Try something else", and it will look you up by other parameters.

I'm sure FTB is intentionally staying ambiguous on this as an outright stance on saying AMD on treasuries is taxable would elicit a response from the federal government reminding them that: Under Internal Revenue Code 1276, acquisition market discount (AMD) recognized on disposition or at maturity is ordinary interest, not capital gain. Ordinary interest on U.S. Treasury obligations is: Taxable federally Exempt from California income tax under California Revenue & Taxation Code § 17144 The fact that the broker reported it in Form 1099-B, box 1f is a reporting convenience, not a characterization mandate.

Yes, you can file an amended return (1040-X) to correct the reported dependent care expenses, but it is too soon to amend your return.
You should wait until the return is fully processed. If you are expecting a refund and are amending for an additional refund, the IRS states you should wait until you've received the original refund. Then, you can amend as soon as the federal amended tax return form 1040-X is available for filing in TurboTax. Use this tool to check availability of forms, including 1040X: Tax form availability
Here is some more information on filing amendments: How to File an Amended Tax Return with the IRS
