You do not need to go out of the system to enter 5329-T.  You are going to enter the 1099-R as though you had received it in 2025 and enter the information that you will receive on the 1099-R in 2026.     Then, after you have entered the 1099-R, you can check the boxes for an inherited IRA as well as substitute 1099-R and type in that you received the 1099-R for 2026,  You will also be able to omit the 2026 1099-R from your return since you will have entered the amounts on the 2025 return.
Me too.  No update to program to enter the room and board expenses yet in desktop version.

I have started filing (have not actually filed yet), and realized my daughter can claim me as a dependent. How do I get back to the screen that asks that? I've tried going back to the beginning, but I can't get to the "Can someone else claim you as a dependent" screen. I didn't answer that question initially and when I came back to filing, I can no longer check that box.

I have the Apple Silicon chip (not Intel), but it's not working for me either. I meet all the system requirements listed on the packaging and online, but maybe not the "secret requirement" you were told on the phone, i.e. that you need to be able to update to 26 even if you don't actually do that. I hope someone from the company will respond to confirm whether this is a requirement.

TurboTax is giving portion of $20K New York State pension and annuity exclusion for an RMD on an inherited IRA but not for an IRA distribution deposited in a Roth account.  NYS tax authority states expressly that a Roth conversion is eligible for the $20K exclusion.  Does anyone know what TurboTax needs to take into account the Roth conversion for this exclusion?

Wow, if you need to be able to update to the most recent Mac version (even if you don't actually do it), that should be stated in the product requirements! I am running Sequoia (15), and the requirements only call for 14 and above, but it's not working for me. My hard drive is pretty full (more than half of it is "system data," don't even get me started on that, none of the solutions for reducing it have worked for me), so I'm not updating to 26 and shouldn't have to do that to get TT to download properly.

I did a mock return in both the desktop and online versions of TurboTax and included some tax exempt dividends in the mock return and the results did properly allocate the non-AZ amount to line 15 of the Form 140.   First, go back and be sure that the dividends were entered correctly in the Interest and Dividends section with the amount of exempt-interest dividends appearing in box 12.  Then on the screen "Tell us more about your exempt-interest dividends", be sure the allocation to AZ and to Multiple States is correct.   Once you have everything checked, the next step would be to delete the AZ return and start over on it.  If in TurboTax online, you can click on Your State Returns and click the trashcan icon to the right of the Arizona return, then click +Add a State to add it back.  In the desktop version, click on File, then Remove State when on the "Your State Returns" page.  Then click on Edit for the Arizona return to restart it.

The IRS will have the totals of your documents which they can reconcile. Keep the documents with your tax file should you need them later. You will know exactly how you arrived at the totals you enter on the tax return.   If you and your spouse paid estimated tax jointly but file separate income tax returns, either of you can claim all of the estimated tax paid, or you may divide it between you in any way that you agree upon.  If you can't agree on how to divide it, the estimated tax you can claim equals the total estimated tax paid times the tax shown on your separate return, divided by the total of the tax shown on your return and your spouse's return. If you paid your estimated taxes separately, you get credit for only the estimated taxes you paid. IRS Publication 555 Since rents must be reported equally between you, then the expenses should be split as well. However, see the note below if only one of you owns the property.   Income from separate property. In some states, income from separate property is separate income. These states include Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, and Washington. Other states characterize income from separate property as community income. These states include Idaho, Louisiana, Texas, and Wisconsin. (References the same publication from above.)   @i66d

Since this wasn't part of an operating business and was a one-time payment for hosting a student teacher, you don't treat it as self-employment just because you received a 1099-NEC.   You should enter the 1099-NEC income using the steps below:   Enter 1099-nec in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen.  Click on Jump to 1099-nec.   On the screen Did you get a 1099-NEC?, click on Yes On the screen Do You Want to Enter Your 1099-NECs Now?, click on Add a 1099-NEC On the screen Let's get the info from your 1099-NEC, enter your information and click Continue On the screen Describe the reason for this 1099-NEC, enter a reason "Honorarium" and click Continue On the screen Does one of these uncommon situations apply? Select This is not money earned as an employee or self-employed individual, it's from a sporadic activity or hobby and click Continue.   These entries will report the income on Schedule 1 Line 8z Other Income. The total from Schedule 1 Line 10 flows to Form 1040 Line 8 as ordinary income.

I don't have the software currently but have had it in the past and I'm sure there is a box for that (or was).   The problem is I can't recall exactly where it was in the 1065 module. I believe it's somewhere on the information or 1065 worksheets (where there's a K-1 section and, admittedly, it's hard to locate).   If no one answers here, you can contact Support as they should have someone who can help you find that box.
As @RobertB4444 said: You need to contact the TurboTax support team.  This forum isn't designed to help you the way you need.   Here's how to contact TurboTax support.
