@ mankarki wrote: I submitted both Federal and State tax electronically, which later on got rejected for some reason. I wanted to fix the issue and resubmit but came to know that the file is not there. I made sure to hit save button before closing. At this point I do not know how to retrieve and fix the errors. I paid $25 to submit state efile and not sure what would happen to it, if I chose to resubmit returns via mail this time.   Which desktop software version are you using--the Windows version or the Mac version?   Search your entire computer system for any file ending in *.tax2025 which is the tax data file.  Also look in the Recycle Bin.   Also search any external device to which you may have backed it up, or any cloud storage you use such as OneDrive.   The default folder for tax data files is the Documents\TurboTax folder, but it might have been saved somewhere else.   If using Windows, and if you have more than one Windows user accounts, log into each one to do the searches.   Whenever a Federal return is rejected, the state return is automatically rejected. Since your initial attempt at efiling was rejected, your returns are considered not to have been filed.
Gm! I didn’t update either guess we will get our DDD next Friday one more week tax family🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

My household itemized we filed on 1/30/26 my transcripts were available to look at. Our release date is not until 3/2/26 I did read somewhere that earlier filers' refunds could beheld up for 30 days. That does seem to be the case for my household! No, we do not take child tax credit, so just fyi if you're expecting a 21 day refund some may some may be longer

@colospgs5735 the Win 10 decision was announced 6 months ago and emails went out, not sure why you didn't get those or see this issue before now; it was also very clear in the system requirements for the s/w.   I can't speak for Intuit but it's clearly a business decision not just technical limitation, due to the liability of incomplete security updates on an OS which is out of technical support, and their projection of low usage not justifying the testing and support, and Intuit's strategic direction is clearly towards online as desktop is very low revenue and in decline; other s/w providers made a different decision.  See blog post here from last year. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/articles/community-news-announcements/turbotax-windows-10-desktop-software-end-of-life/05/3708302   you can request a refund here and have to use something else if online or VM doesn't work you https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/intuit-refunds/request-refund-turbotax-product/L834M6uyW_US_en_US

Thanks for the suggestions. I figured out two things. First, TurboTax doesn't show state withholdings in the summary even though they are deductible. I consider this a problem that could easily be rectified. Second, because of the SALT income limits, SALT deductions may be reduced, but in my opinion should still be shown with a corresponding explanation for the reduction. Also, you mentioned reviewing Schedule A. This is a good suggestion except that TurboTax makes it extremely difficult to see actual forms until you print. Previous versions were better and had a view forms option. Thanks again for your help.

13th was never a guaranteed date so why expect it here at 6am after all this date hedging - latest update in other threads has been "We are hoping by this weekend, if not before. We don't have a specific date."   (but don't bank on "before" either)   for other forms delays this year due to the IRS/OBBB changes usually the s/w push has been on a 1-2 day lag from the date given, and online has been updated more quickly than desktop.  Hopefully they wrap this up today and get the s/w update out over the weekend, we'll see.   https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/taxes/discussion/re-depreciation-and-amortization-i-m-not-adding-anything-new-federal-doesn-t-indicate-to-wait/01/3773391#M1402067

That may be the best answer TurboTax can give but that's not an answer as to why other tax preparing software is still compatible with Win 10 and why I was not notified, after so many years, that I wouldn't be able to use the desktop version.  I really think a refund of my purchase price should be given so I can buy a product that is intuitive and user friendly for my Win 10 desktop.  I'm still really upset!!

The IRS has already released form 4562 for Schedule E and my friend has already been able to file her taxes so I do not understand why Turbo Tax does not have the form ready for us to file our taxes.  As per google, turbotax will not have this form available for Schedule E until after February 13, 2026 - which is a large window.  Are there any updates on when this form is going to be available so I can file my taxes?

Yeah I've been on Turbotax 15 years but I am looking for a competitor, been waiting on this update since January and Turbo keeps missing its own deadlines to literally update a form on a software I've already paid for.
Feb 13 is here, and it doesn't work. This is truly shoddy work - it's tax filing season and I am paying for fully functional tax filing software, not some half baked guesswork.
