The only amount I owed was from this year in the exact amount that was deducted from my IRS refund. I saw others post here about the same issue and I would like to know how this was resolved.  It is indeed puzzling if your bank account says it was received directly from the IRS/Treasury.  If the full amount of your Federal refund was approved and sent by the IRS, and if the deposit went directly from the IRS to your bank account, it's hard to figure out how it could be lowered.   If a TurboTax-affiliated company takes anything out of a Federal refund to pay for a user's options, the IRS sends the full refund to a third-party bank, and then the third party bank sends the rest of the refund.  And that third-party company would be listed as the payer in one's bank account.     FAQ:  Can I pay my state taxes from my Federal refund? https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/intuit-account-billing/pay-state-taxes-federal-refund/L0x0nJzC0_US_en_US   This is a public Internet forum--a user community--and no one here can look up any specifics of your account, refund information, etc.    You may get some additional comments in this thread during the day today.   Otherwise, if you wish to speak to someone at TurboTax Support in a one-on-one, it might become more clear as to what is going on.   So here's the contact info in case you need it.   FAQ:  Contact TurboTax Hours 5AM-9PM Pacific, 7 days a week https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/contact/

There is no confidential information on this board.  Why 2-factor verification?  And the capatcha takes too long -- I had to try 5-10 times before it let me pass.    Also I first tried to log in using my User ID (aptiva4tt17), go through the capatcha, then it tells me that aptiva4tt17 is not in the system.   Is my User ID not aptiva4tt17.  Then I have to go through another round of capatcha!!  Turbotax/Intuit is trying their best to discourage us to use its support site?  Just to get to this Community" is a convoluted task.  Google it lead me to a FAQ!  Why not a direct link to the Community -- instead of multiple steps to get to the Community???

I fought through this for 2024 but it just seems like you  have made even worse for 2025. There used to be (<2024) a table of institutions for 1099 div and INT's with amounts of income last year and this year and then be a button to able to add/import/edit each institution.  Now, this list of huge boxes/targets for each institution in a random order, is confusing and hard to navigate. You  have to scroll up and down to find anything and scroll to the bottom several pages each time to add new ones.  Then to edit the header of a 1099B (update account number etc) you do that by deleting the entry and then scroll down to the bottom and start all over - OMG. This is a real pain in the butt. Need option to switch back to old interface or something.  It might be ok if you have a total of two 1099's but anymore than that is unmanageable. I am hoping institutions have downloadable files soon (mid feb and no downloads work, yet) as manual entry will be pain.  definitely will be test driving other company products next year.

In your online banking (if you have that) can you see whom your deposit was from?   If the lowered deposit was from the IRS/Treasury, you would need to speak to them.   Or was it from a third-party?

I have the same problem. TurboTax took my fees out of my CA refund which was issued on 1/31 and I have not received the refund that was issued to Cross River Bank. Today is the 12th. My refund before TurboTax took funds out was $1698 and should be $1507 with the fees taken out. This is a good chunk of money and I have now waited for 12 days. Does anyone have a good number for Cross River Bank? I don't think I'll use TurboTax again after this and I've used them for many years.

It's not clear at all what you've done.   Please explain that again in more detail.    What do you mean by "the IRS says?"   How did they say???   Did you get a letter from the IRS?   Or are you referring to a rejection error code/message after efiling without the IP PIN?  Or what?   "I put IP PIN in on TurboTax"   And what did you do after entering the IP PIN?  Were you re-submitting another efile attempt after getting a rejection on the first attempt?   If so, did you re-transmit it?   Merely entering it into TurboTax doesn't send it to the IRS.    Again, please explain your situation in detail so we don't have to keep guessing.   We can tell you more, but first we have to understand all of your situation.  This is a public Internet forum, so don't post any personal information in your response.

DID YOU E-FILE?   Did you e-file?   Did you go through all three steps of the FILE section and click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”     When you e-file your return you will get two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say your return has been transmitted; the second one will tell you the IRS has accepted  or rejected your federal e-file.  If you filed a state return, there will be a third email (usually a day or two later) that tells you if the state e-file was accepted or rejected.   Check your e-file status:   https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/    What does it say in your account?  Does it show that the return was accepted?   Or does it say something else---like "rejected," "printed," or "ready to mail?”     “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”.  TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing.   Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing.  If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.       FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE: https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund How it works Where's My Refund shows your refund status: Return Received – We received your return and are processing it. Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown. Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.
