If you are using TurboTax Desktop and there is a red exclamation point by Schedule E, you should be able to see a red input field on Schedule E somewhere (scroll up and down to look over the schedule) which is telling you what the program is looking for or what you need to change.    Once the red fields on the schedule E are filled, the red ! will disappear.

It seems like you misunderstood what the $35 fee is for.   It is not for having direct deposit.   It is for the "five day early" offer---which was optional.   Did you already e-file?   If you already e-filed you are stuck with "5 days early" if the return is accepted.  If it rejects you can try to remove that option in the FILE section before you re-file.       "5 days early" means you are supposed to receive your refund from one to five days sooner than the refund date shown on the IRS refund site.   If it does not meet that "at least one day sooner" date, they are supposed to refund the $35 fee.   You have to pay attention to the date on the IRS refund site. You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds

I downloaded my EJ statements.  I was told info was captured and return to TT.  TT did not receive info and I was in a do loop.  I just bought a new computer with Microsoft Edge as the browser.   I downloaded Google Chrome and set it as my default browser.  I then downloaded once again and it worked perfect.
I was rejected and had to gix for the first time now it’s charging me

The lousy team should take responsibility. if the team is not capable to deliver this function, Turbotax should let them go. This function has been long overdue. time to hire capable engineers to handle this issue.

To clarify, is there a question?   @boilermrkchck02

Yeah 10k is the maximum amount that would ever be used to qualify for the maximum Lifetime learning credit in a given year, 20% of 10k or 2k.  Interestingly the American Opportunity Credit though is calculated at 100% of first 2k in expenses and 25% of next 2k, for maximum yearly credit of 2500.  so if you were taking the AOC fully, that credit line should by 4k, if you were taking the LLC in full the 10k makes sense. Not getting either of those at all, should be 0.   Bottomline there is some expense efficiency routine that the program should be doing to determine the max refund available between offsetting education income (1099Q) and allocating expenses to credits, but it is not doing that correctly or perhaps at all.
And....just so your expectations are realistic when you amend----it takes the IRS about four months or more to process an amended return.  Do not expect quick results when you amend.
The IRS finalized this on Feb 11 to update The One Big Beautiful Bill provisions. Turbo Tax waits a few days testing this to see if it works.  I give it until Monday Feb 16 to see if it is finalized.

If you end up having no option but to download, Contact TurboTax Support and use 'Billing' as your issue.  Explain your situation and you should get a free download.   Here's some info on your issue to try:   Clear Browser Data: Clear your cache and cookies for "all time" in your browser settings, then try again. Switch Browsers/Devices: Try using a different web browser, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. Use Incognito Mode: Open an incognito or private window, sign in to your TurboTax account, and attempt to click the button. Verify Account: Ensure you are using the exact same account you used to file the original 2024 return. Desktop Switch: If the online version continues to fail, you may need to use the desktop version of the software to process the amendment. @prasadnadig

You cannot change or add anything on the return that you just e-filed, nor can you stop it.  It is too late, just like when you put an envelope in a US mailbox on the corner.  The IRS does not allow you to take it back.   If you left out a W-2, a 1099G, or a dependent, or a 1099 etc…DO NOT change your return while it is “pending.”  The changes will go nowhere.   Now you have to wait until the IRS either rejects or accepts your return.  If your return is rejected, you will be able to go into your account and make the necessary changes to your tax return and re-submit your return.     If the IRS accepts your return, however, then you have to wait longer until it has been fully processed and you have received your refund.  THEN you can prepare an amended tax return and e-file or mail  it in. You have to be able to work from that return exactly the way it was when it was e-filed originally.  You will need to use a form called a 1040X.     Meanwhile, DO NOT go in and start changing anything on your return in the system, or you will make a mess for yourself.  Sit tight and wait until you see what the IRS does with the return you just e-filed   The Form 1040X is scheduled to be available on February 19.   The date is subject to change, so check on 2-19 to see if it is ready.   Before that, do not change anything at all on your return.
