If you are filing as Married Filing Separately you are not eligible for the deduction.  If you are Single and your AGI is over $150,000 or Married Filing Jointly and your AGI is over $250,000 you are not eligible for the deduction.   If you are age 65 or older and meet the requirement, the additional deduction is automatically added on your federal tax return.   Standard deductions for 2025 Single - $15.750 add $2,000 if age 65 or older Married Filing Separately - $15,750 add $1,600 if age 65 or older Married Filing Jointly - $31,500 add $1,600 for each spouse age 65 or older Head of Household - $23,625 add $2,000 if age 65 or older   New Bonus Standard Deduction (OBBB): An additional $6,000 deduction for taxpayers 65 and older. This is per eligible individual, meaning a married couple both over 65 could get $12,000. Important: This bonus deduction is temporary, lasting from 2025 through 2028. Income limitations: It phases out for taxpayers with modified adjusted gross income over $75,000 for single filers and $150,000 for joint filers. The amount is calculated on Schedule 1-A, Part V, with that amount flowing to Form 1040 Line 13b Look at your Form 1040 - You can view your Form 1040 plus Schedules 1, 2 and 3 at any time using the online editions. This has been reported and is apparently being corrected in the software.   See post on the same topic in the link below.   Link to Post

Unfortunately, the only solution to this situation is the one I had given you.  The solution I gave you came from a post in 2021 about allocating HSA contributions in TurboTax.  The inability to allocate the contribution directly is not a bug as the solution is suitable for reporting to PA.   The net effect is that the HSA contribution made outside of the employer will not be allocated as a deduction to PA income, which is the desired end result.

The calculation of effective tax rate is not correct (way low).  Effective tax rate is a simple calculation ((Total Tax / Taxable Income) x 100%).   Some sources compute it based on AGI, so I'll show both. In either case, TurboTax's result doesn't line up with either.   TurboTax shows an Effective Tax Rate of 5.41% when my Total Tax is $23,282 and Taxable Income is $73,925.  The correct result is 31.49%. If using AGI ($137,370) as the denominator instead, the result is 16.95%.   What numbers does TurboTax use to calculate Effective Tax Rate?  I can't figure it out and the discrepancy makes me a bit concerned about the overall integrity of the product.

Here is a link to all TurboTax business forms availability  https://care-cdn.prodsupportsite.a.intuit.com/forms-availability/turbotaxbusiness_states_windows_selector.html I got this using a google search.  It's too bad that this was not readily available in TurboTax and TurboTax does not come out and say the required State Tax forms are not ready to e-file until after you press the submit button.   It seems like TurboTax is trying to push us to use paid tax return preparers.
The Local Access change worked.  Thank you Thank you Thank you.  This was the first year that I had this issue with TurboTax.  I did not look forward to entering everything by hand.

I SHOULD HAVE SAID I COULD BE CLAIMED AS A DEPENDENT   Did you say you could not be claimed as someone else’s dependent, but it turns out your parent(s) can claim you?  Now your parents’ return is being rejected when they e-file, or it will be rejected.    Your part in fixing this will be to wait until the IRS has fully processed your tax return, and then you must amend your own return.  You use a form called a 1040X.   You will go to MY INFO and go through the interview questions to the one that asks if someone else can claim you as a dependent.  Say YES.   Meanwhile, your parent(s) do not need to wait for you to amend.  Waiting will not help them at all.   They can either print, sign and date their return in ink, and file it by mail.   OR   GET IP pin in order to e-file if your dependent’s SSN was claimed on another return   https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-takes-steps-to-help-prevent-refund-delays-by-accepting-duplicate-dependent-returns-with-an-ip-pin-for-2025-filing-season-taxpayers-encouraged-to-sign-up-soon-for-ip-pin-online-account     https://www.irs.gov/identity-theft-fraud-scams/get-an-identity-protection-pin         If it is any comfort, you (and your parents) are among many young tax filers who make this mistake.  We will be seeing plenty of posts just like yours.   And posts from the parents whose e-files were rejected....
I hired an outside accountant this year.

You will have to file an amended tax return to change your dependency status.   The Form 1040-X for amending a 2025 federal tax return is estimated to be available in TurboTax on 02/25/2026   You will have to wait for the IRS to either Accept or Reject your filed federal tax return. If the return is rejected you can make the necessary changes and e-file again. If the return is accepted you will have to amend your original tax return. An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 20 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return. Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS. See this TurboTax support FAQ for amending a current year tax return - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/amend-federal-tax-return-curr...   Your parent's or whomever is claiming you as a dependent will have to print and mail their tax return, it can not be e-filed since the IRS has already received a tax return with your Social Security number.
Just tried again (1:45pm EST) ... and it worked.  They must have finally fixed the connection.
