This has been a recurring problem every year and Wisconsin requires e-filing. What is worse this year: now Turbo Tax Business will not e-file the Federal return until the final review of the Wisconsin return is also completed. And the final review of the Wisconsin return keeps looping back even though the information is correct. I'm stuck in this never-ending loop and can't e-file either the Federal or the State tax returns. INTUIT TURBOTAX TEAM NEEDS TO IMPLEMENT A FIX ASAP. Anyone else having this same problem? Likely not just Wisconsin. Anyone aware of any workarounds through the software?

I had most of my taxes done as February 8th. I came back in to review a section and I get the "Hmmm, looks like we've hit a snag" error when I went to review the Interest income section. It showed a dialog box with three choices, one was about income on foreign loans, one about seller financed mortgages, and one with None of the above. I never checked off those boxes before but the first two were checked. I checked "None of the above" but I couldn't uncheck the other two. When I tried the Back button, I get the "Hmmm, looks like we've hit a snag" error dialogue. It is giving me that error whenever I try to open any other section now. How can I get it fixed? I have the desktop deluxe version. I am not using the online version. The only other thing that I did today was sign up for the free audit defense.

OT Premium is reported on my W-2, Box 14, in the amount of $2,034. I also entered this amount in the W-2 detail section. I am filing Single, my wages are approximately $85,000, and I live and work in New York as a nurse (below the $150,000 threshold). However, upon review, Schedule 1-A, Line 14a does not reflect the overtime premium. Could you please advise? Thank you.

For tover a week now I keep getting an "Internet transmission problems" error when I try to efile my 2025 federal return from the app on Windows 11. I've tried without success: - turning off virus protection - in internet security, set security to Medium - added Windows Defender, Outbound Rule, to allow TurboTax program - installed TTax on another system and tried it there I've called support 3 times, but other than say they're working on it, there's been no progress. The return is not that complicated, the .tax2025 TurboTax file is only about 2 MB so I don't think it's a file size issue. There is another issue which may or may not be related. When I sign into TurboTax via a browser (using the same Intuit uname/pwd as the app), I do not see any of the tax info that I entered in the app. The browser app wants me to start all over again as it thinks I haven't started my taxes yet. (I was hoping I could send the data thru the browser but with this problem, that won't work). Any ideas?

I was told to try later but a day later the forms still have words. If these words were deleted, form would be good.

If you are in the payment section of TurboTax and you are getting an message regarding your payment, you can try some of the steps listed below to correct it.
Some of our customers are experiencing issues when trying to file and pay with their refund. We are investigating this issue. However, if you would prefer to file now, you can do so by switching to pay your TurboTax fees with a credit card instead of using the pay with my refund option by following these steps.

You can deduct the premiums paid as a negative entry to "Other Income" as follows:
1. From the Federal menu in TurboTax find Wages and Income
2. Find Less Common Income
3. Choose Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C
4. Choose Other Reportable Income
5. Enter a description of the adjustment and the amount as a negative number
As mentioned by @scruffycurmudge, if you can determine the "internal profit" (excess of cash surrender value over premiums paid) you can enter the appropriate amount as the adjustment to other income to reflect the amount of income to be taxed at ordinary tax rates. You can then enter the rest of the income as the sale of an investment, which will be taxed at potentially lower capital gains tax rates as follows:
1. Navigate to Investment Income in the Wages and Income section of TurboTax
2. Choose the Stocks, Cryptocurrency, ... option
3. Skip the Import option
4. Choose the Other (land, second homes, personal items) option for the investment type
You will see an option to enter your investment proceeds and cost basis. In your case, you can leave the cost basis blank and just enter the proceeds equal to the portion of your payout that is taxable as capital gain income.

It apparently isn't available yet. Mac Desktop version here. I was able to fill out 8911-A, but the credit is supposed to transfer to 8911, which isn't available. I gather this has been a problem in past years as well based on search results.
