I agree it is a mistake to drop a crucial tool in the application.  However, when I was researching alternative ways to get fair market values for my donations, I decided to try Claude AI and it worked surprisingly well.  I simply uploaded a worksheet listing the items I donated and it created a worksheet that added FMV to each from Goodwill.  Pretty slick!
i cant remember if i chose to receive my refund 5 days early. How can i find out if I did?
Hi, I still cannot open the Depreciation/Amortization form despite several tax experts saying it's already available to use on all Turbotax formats. I am using a Mac. Please Help!
Any VPN installed? Turn it off if yes. Is your router using a custom DNS, if yes, suggest changing set to get your IP straight from your ISP (Spectrum, etc.).

I am filing from ID but also lived in WA. I tried to e-file and it wouldn't let me do that without "purchasing" WA state tax even though WA does not have state tax. I downloaded it and now it won't let me e-file because it think I am claiming WFTC. I tried deleted the WFTC application but it still wont let me e-file.
Why can't I efile form 568? I'm using turbo tax online premier. It keeps prompting to check off the box to mail and file but none of the reasons apply to me.
Why do you need to know the cost of the most expensive air conditioner?

I started out the year with an ACA plan and a subsidy based on not having an estimated income for the year. In March, I subsequently found a job that offered a minimum value healthcare plan starting in May. However, because this plan was worthless (no prescription coverage, doctors not in-network), I chose to stick with the ACA plan. I updated my income in April after making this determination. I received two 1095-A forms. The first covered January through April, reflecting my high subsidy. The second, covering May through December, reflected a reduced subsidy based on my revised income estimate. However, because the employer plan technically met the minimum value standard, I believe I am not eligible for the subsidy I received from May through December. When filling out the 1095-A in TurboTax, I put the received subsidy amount, and TurboTax calculated, based on actual income and subsidy received, that I have to pay back $1655.  But if I didn't qualify for a subsidy at all, the amount I should have to pay back would be $3429. Is there a cap that limits my payback to $1655 and not the full $3429? Is there an option in TurboTax or on Form 8962 where I indicate that I had access to and refused a minimum value plan, so that TurboTax can calculate the correct amount that has to be paid back? How do I handle this so that I don't get flagged by the IRS when they process my employer's 1095-C (which indicates I was offered and refused their health plan) and compare it to my 1095-As?

@ loudafboi94 wrote: I completed my taxes at the beginning of the week and im not seeing anything 48 hrs later. Your issue is not yet completely clear.   Are you saying you can't find the 2025 tax return you completed?   Which of the following 2 scenarios is what you are experiencing?   What do you see when you log in to your online TurboTax account?    Is there's no evidence of the completed return at all; i.e., is its acting like it wants you to start one from scratch?  If so, you may have more than 1 account without realizing it.  If that's your case, we can tell you how to troubleshoot to find other accounts.   Or do you log in and arrive at the Tax Home, where there is at least evidence you used the account for a current return, but you don't know how to reopen the interview because TurboTax thinks you were finished?   "Completed my taxes..."      Did you already file the return as well?   Or are you needing to review your return and then file it?

My income for the year is over the threshold to have to pay NIIT. I also included in my tax returns the 1099-INT for my savings account interest earned. Based on this I should have recieved a form 8960 for the 3.8% tax on the interest income but it is not included. When comparing with another tax software online they do indeed include the form so I am wondering why TurboTax has not included it.

As of 2026, TurboTax does not offer any deduction tool. Period, Full Stop! Yes it used to, and we all thought it was great. If they do incorporate an import feature to third party providers, yet this tax year or even next, then good. But right now we can't even import the charitable deductions we loaded into It's Deductible prior to its demise late last year. I loved TurboTax, recommended it to others, but they no longer have this capability and at least one other tax software (H&R Block) does allow you to input your Charitable deductions within their package at time of entering all other deductions. Whether a person enters their Charitable deductions throughout the year or all at once at tax season, it the same total effort.  Again, I hope the info you got from an Intuit employee makes it to the TurboTax product. I would love to keep using TurboTax. Each of us has to look at costs/features/ease of use/accuracy: 1. Costs of TurboTax (without It's Deductible) plus cost of some new third party "It's Deductible" replacement vs cost of another Tax package with a Charitable deductions valuation tool built in. 2. Other features included or missing from each product 3. Weigh the pros and cons of useability (always in the eyes of the beholder). 4. Does each software package compute same results with same input (I may have one issue with H&R, around Section 179 depreciation).
