If you're asking why your state refund isn't reported on your Federal 1040, the refund may not be taxable. There is a worksheet in the 2024 file wherethe taxability is calculated. If this is not your issue, clarify your question. This forum has no access to your returns and your question is not entirely clear.

Thanks JamesG1. But then how to report proceeds from decentralized platforms? The 1099-DA only has the activity on the issuing broker and may not reflect proceeds correctly because of that. The only way to accurately report proceeds realized across numerous platforms (non-brokers) is by providing TurboTax with the csv, as it's been done before.

Only certain paid tax pros using professional tax software can e-file past year amended returns. You cannot e-file an amended return that you prepared yourself using TurboTax. Your 1040X must be printed, signed and dated in ink, and then you need to mail it in. Use a mailing service like certified mail so you will know the IRS received it, since you will have a long wait for it to be processed.

For Windows…..What I would do on the old computer, is copy the whole Turbo Tax folder that is under your Documents. That should be where the .tax files and pdf files are stored. Also if you haven't done it, I would open each year in the program and save it as a pdf file, go to FILE - SAVE TO PDF so you don't need the program installed to view your return. Copy that folder to a flash drive or best yet is to burn it to a CD or DVD and then you will have a backup of them. Then on the new computer copy the folder (or files) from the flash drive to your Documents folder. You only need the tax return data file ending in .tax2024 to transfer into 2025. You can't transfer the programs. They have to be installed from the CD or Download. You don't need to install older programs unless you need to amend or you didn't save the pdf file. And they only support the last 3 years. If you install an older year you won't be able to update it or download any state programs, so you won't be able to open your return. See this article on how to move your tax return to another computer……. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/tax-data-file/help/how-do-i-move-my-tax-data-file-to-another-computer/00/26128 Do you want the prior year programs installed on the Windows 11 computer? You can only install the last 3 years. Since you now have to log into an Intuit Account when you first install it, all your downloads and license codes are listed there (even if you bought it from somewhere else) so if you need to install it again or install on another computer, even on the other operating system (Windows, Mac) you can download it again here, https://accounts.intuit.com/app/account-manager/productsBilling/turbotax

I currently have many years of Turbotax programs on my window 10 computer. Can I either load 2025 TT to this computer or transfer the aforementioned files via data transfer to windows 11. In short, how do I utilize the data of my 2024 program to the 2025 TT considering you are limiting my use to Windows11?

Since you have already submitted your tax return, wait until you receive an email informing you that it is accepted or rejected as xmasbaby0 indicated. Don't make any changes while your tax return is pending.
If your tax return is rejected, you may sign in to TurboTax and add your W-2 along with fixing the rejection. If your tax return is accepted, once it’s processed, you can file an amendment through TurboTax using Form 1040-X. adding your income. Refer to the TurboTax article What is the IRS 1040-X Form?
For further information review the TurboTax articles: How to Correct Federal Tax Returns and Video: How to Amend Your Tax Return.
If you live in a state that requires you to file an income tax return, don’t forget to prepare an amendment for your state. For instructions to amend your state return, refer to the TurboTax Help article How do I amend my state tax return?

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

To track your state refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing
