You will have to wait for the IRS to either Accept or Reject your filed federal tax return. If the return is rejected you can make the necessary changes and e-file again. If the return is accepted you will have to amend your original tax return. An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 20 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return. Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS. See this TurboTax support FAQ for amending a current year tax return - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/amend-federal-tax-return-current-year/L7eS6o1qh_US_en_US?uid=lfunevhk   The IRS Form 1040-X for amending a 2025 tax return is estimated to be available in TurboTax on 02/19/2026

Yes.   In a paid Online version the fee is to prepare the state return whether you efile or print and mail.   In the Desktop program it is free to download the first state program but $25 to efile a state return.   Or you can print and mail state for free.  Except New York is free to efile.

1.  Use the W2 amount.  You are correct that too much time has passed to correct the W2.     2.  and  3.  The California return should be done first.  Always do the non-resident (or part year resident as your W2 has made you) return first and then you do your resident return to take your credit.  NY does have a maximum allowed credit so you may end up spending more in California than NY gives you credit for.  But ignore Chat GPT on this one and do the non-resident return first.   4.  No.  You'll need to re-file any forms with New York that have changed numbers.  Because of the California and RSU income that could be a lot of them.  And California didn't get an original return since you didn't live there.  So you will need to file a complete tax return with them.   5.  You can't efile a return that is more than three years old.  You're going to have to paper file all of these.

Yes. You can send the return by mail. It'd need to be a 1040NR return. You can also file it electronically with SprintTax.
Click on Federal on the left side of the online program screen Click on Deductions & Credit Scroll down to Cars and Other Things You Own On Car Loan Interest, click the Revisit button
Primarily the Retirement income 1099-R area.   Don't click on the Visit All text.....just select each income menu item you want to work on  (except the 1099-R area)
See my response above - I called Turhotax and spoke with Cindi.    I put her response in here.
The 1095 needs to be deleted because the return got rejected. I don't have a 1095-A and it's telling me to delete it, but it won't
