There is a billing department that will fix this but many TurboTax agents do not know it exists.  Tell them you have a billing issue and need to be connected to billing department.  They must dial the number for you and may have to ask someone how to do it.     The department is located in Mountain Time Zone and open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.  Make sure you call during those hours in Mountain Time.  There is likely a block on your account and the billing department can remove that.
I have 3 years to file. How much would it be?

@bz2332 wrote: my account says my refund is ready to mail. But didn’t receive any email saying whether my refund has been accepted or rejected. Your "refund" is never ready to mail.  (Turbotax doesn't know that.)   Does it say "Your return is ready to mail?"  That would mean that you did not e-file, and you selected that you would print your return and mail it to the IRS.  If you did not do that, then nothing has been filed.  You either need to go back into the program and change your choice to e-file, and complete the process (there are several steps, ends with a "transmit" or "send now" button I think).  Or, print your return, sign it, and put it in the mail.

Where's My Refund should become active a few days after your return has been accepted.   When you file (transmit) you should get an email or text acknowledgment of the filing, this is not the same as IRS acceptance.  If you did not get an acknowledgment of filing, you might not have finished all the steps.    If you got an acknowledgement of filing but you did not get an email or text message from turbotax saying that your return was accepted or rejected (check your email spam folder if you have one), and it has been more than 2 days since you e-filed, you can try calling customer support to see if they know about any delays.

If you efile your tax return it is Accepted or Rejected.   If it is Accepted by the IRS then they process it and then approve your refund.  It may take awhile for it to show up on the IRS Where's My Refund page.  Mine never did show up there.  That page can be glitchy.     When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile. Check back though your emails and spam/junk folder. When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say?   Accepted does not mean Approved. And the Turbo Tax refund date is just an estimated date of 21 days. Accepted only means the IRS verified some basic info on it so they know it's really from you. After it is Accepted the IRS processes it then approves it before they send the refund.   After Turbo Tax sends your return they are done with their part. Now it's up to the IRS to process and Approve it. It has nothing to do with Turbo Tax. The IRS doesn't update Turbo Tax with the status of your return. Turbo Tax just gives you an estimated date.

You will have to file NY, NYC, and MI tax returns.  New York and New York City will tax all of your income as a statutory resident.  MI will tax you on all of your income and provide a credit for the taxes paid to New York and New York city.  This will reduce your MI tax liability to help avoid double taxation.   MI, NY, and NYC all tax residents on all income so it is required you report all of your income.  Essentially, you will end up paying the highest tax rate but will be given a credit by MI for the taxes paid to NY and NYC.  You could make sure your employer is also doing NY and NYC withholding on your behalf.   Michigan does offer other credits, but there are qualifying factors such as income level and taxable value of the home.   Thank you for joining us today!

If you e-file, your return should be accepted within 48 hours, not including weekends and holidays.  Accepted just means it was successfully downloaded into the IRS system and passed basic math and security checks.   Actual processing the return and approval of a refund takes 3 weeks on average, for most returns, but can take longer if there are issues with your return that need to be checked out.
