Has anyone who mailed a paper return in April received their refund or return-receipt back yet? Or at least seen the tracking indicate the receipt is on the way back? Thank you very much for your information. I have a few more follow up questions:   1, I suppose I need to obtain the statement showing the payment of this bonus and then file an estimated tax payment. How would that work specifically, especially as this wouldn't be reporting more or less regular income but a one-off bonus?   2. Since of course the exchange rate varies all the time which one would I use? Would it be the exchange rate in effect on the date of the payment?   3. From my research I thought that I would be able to get some sort of break on the taxes paid in Colombia on this bonus. Would I at least get a deduction if not a credit? Thank about the information about the contributions, at least I can deduct those.   Thanks again for your help on this.

Please see how do I review my fees in TurboTax Online to view the specific charges incurred when you completed your tax return.     If that does not assist, you can also contact us to discuss your account balance.  An agent will be able to review the fees that were charged by TurboTax.     You can also refer to this FAQ for more details on why your tax refund may have been lower if the changes were made by the IRS.  Typically, the IRS will mail you a letter if they make any adjustments to your refund amount.

@RABURQ wrote:  Other ways to verify other my email. show me other ways to verify other then my email. If you're referring to the 6-digit code some filers need to verify your email address when efiling, here are some tips:   First, if you're not receiving the code, look in your email's spam/junk folder in case it ended up there.   You can also verify the email address (or use a different one) in your Intuit Account profile to see if that solves it.   Log in to Online TurboTax if not already logged in.  Near the bottom of the left column menu go into Intuit Account.  Then go to Sign In and Security.   See if your email address is correct there (or you can change it to a different one), and if so see if it is "verified."  If not verified there, see if you can verify it there with the adjacent link there.    It may then send you a link to that email address to verify with.   Once verified for the Intuit Account purposes, close Online TurboTax.  And then sign in again.     That might be enough to fix it during efiling.   When you try to efile, if it still wants to send you a 6-digit email verification code,  be sure the code is not ending up in your email's spam/junk folder.  See this FAQ on some tips, which also includes info on how you can change the email address in your Account Settings, if you wish to use another email address.   FAQ: What if I'm having trouble with my filing verification code? https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/security/help/what-if-i-m-having-trouble-with-my-filing-verificati...   If that's not helpful, and the issue persists, please phone Customer Support.   Support hours are 5AM-5PM Pacific Mon-Fri this time of year. If you owe real property taxes, they are usually billed directly by your county based on the value of your property.  They are not part of your income tax return.   Some cities charge a city income tax.  Turbotax can automatically prepare city taxes for New York City, Yonkers, and a few cities in Ohio that are part of a shared system.  For any other cities (including cities in Ohio that are not part of the shared system) you must pay your city income taxes separately.  Call your city tax department to get the forms, it is usually very simple.

No one on this forum has access to your account.  You need to call support.   What is supposed to happen is that, suppose you have Turbotax fees of $100 plus $40 for "pay with refund."  When the IRS keeps your refund, Turbotax will eventually debit your bank account for the fees (you gave permission for this when you signed up for pay with refund), but Turbotax should automatically only debit the $100, not the full $140.   You will have to call support again, or look at your account online, or just wait for them to debit your account for the program fee--you can complain if they also take the pay with refund fee but they shouldn't do that.
