Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.
The state should be sending you a notice in the mail describing what they changed on your tax return which resulted in the reduction to the state tax refund.

I received a letter from the IDAHO State Tax Commission that my state refund was reduced from $382.00 to $45.00. Why did this happen? is this reduction covered by Turbo Tax?

You should also check any Cloud storage drives you have...like DropBox or OneDrive. A number of folks who thought the update removed their files....found them later on their cloud storage drive.

Hi all, I made excess contributions to a Roth IRA in 2024. The excess was removed from the account in March along with a Net Income Attributable (NIA). As far as I can tell I don't have to pay the 6% penalty as the excess was removed before the deadline. I assume though that I have to include the NIA as income on a 1040X, but I'm unclear on how to do that. I've looked through the instructions for Form5329 but there doesn't seem to be any info on how to report the NIA. Could someone get me pointed in the right direction?

@Bowie1997 -probably because the requests are so limited that the cost of implementation far exceeds to demand generated.

TurboTax does not receive any kind of tax refund, federal or state.
If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the $40 service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the $40 service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.
For the status of your tax refund you will need to contact the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://www.sbtpg.com/

Hi there! Did you get a resolution to this? I'm in the same boat. The IRS sent me a LTR 4087c and specifically mentioned Form 2555. In previous years, Form 2555 usually had line 19 filled out, but this year TurboTax decided to put that amount on line 20a. No clue why it decided to put it on line 20a this year!
