I am currently preparing my state return for KS. I had pulled my annuity from my previous employer WA that I had built up for 10 years. I only lived in KS for 8 months out of the year and then moved back to WA for the remaining 4. Do I have to claim my annuity income on the "Part-Year and Nonresident Income Allocation" section of the tax return? I did not earn any of this annuity in KS and taxes are already being taken out of it. Thank You!

No, the payments you make on the IRS website aren't communicated to TurboTax.
If you are making payments before filing the return, such as payment made with filing an extension, enter the payments in the Federal section under Deductions and Credits, Additional Payments under Estimated Tax Payments. Once you have entered all of your payments in the Federal section, then revisit the Form 2210.
In TurboTax Online:
Go to Deductions & Credits
Select Estimated Tax Payments
Click Start or Revisit next to Federal estimated taxes for 2024
Scroll down to Additional Payments
Enter the Date Paid and Amount Paid

To fix this would depend on where the source of section 179 carryover for line 12 came from. If you know where that carryover appears on your return last year, return to that section of the California State interview and review related adjustments for California to see if you can change the amount of that's coming through to your State return. This would appear on Line 10 of the Sec 179 Wks, which would then be included in Line 12.

Had a side business years prior. See we are being charged the premium rate from turbo tax. We don’t need that anymore, but can’t see where to go to switch to the “free” or basic version

Re: Form IT-272, TurboTax Premier says: New York offers tax breaks only for undergraduate college tuition. Was <name> an undergraduate student in 2024? Yes/No So if I get a form 1098-T from a qualified college for a college credit course and my dependent is in high school full time, does NY allow a deduction? Can I answer Yes to the above question? Thanks

"We at Intuit TurboTax want our users to be completely delighted with their experience using our products and services, and successful in their financial lives and businesses.
Once you file your return, as long as the settings to receive communication from Intuit don’t block it, you will see a pop-up message or receive an email with a survey asking you about your experience. We encourage you to leave your notes and comments there. “Voice of the Customer” notes and comments are read and acted upon.
If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can also leave feedback at the Final Steps tab:"

It depends. Here are a few possible reasons and solutions:
Incorrect Selection: TurboTax asks about foreign accounts during the deductions section. Double-check that you didn’t accidentally select "Yes" to having a foreign account. Go to other tax situations>miscellaneous tax forms>prepare a report of foreign assets. Be sure you select no and then sign out of your return and sign back in again. See if this clears the error.
Imported Forms Issue: If you imported a 1099-INT or 1099-DIV, TurboTax may have incorrectly marked the FATCA filing requirement box. Try revisiting your entries and ensuring that box is unchecked.
Form 8938 Error: TurboTax may have automatically generated Form 8938 (Statement of Specified Foreign Financial Assets). You can delete this form under Tax Tools > Tools > Delete a Form. After deleting the form, sign out and back in again. See if this clears the error.
