No, you will not be taxed on your benefit unless your total income is over a certain amount. If you have no other income, there is no tax.   If you’re a Single filer, you may need to include up to 50% of your SSDI benefits in your taxable income  if your income falls between $25,000 and $34,000  (or between $32,000 and $44,000 if Married Filing Jointly) and  up to 85% of your benefits if your income exceeds $34,000 (or $44,000 if Married Filing Jointly). Is Social Security Disability Income Taxable?

Delete all old forms that you don'tneed anymore, ie depreciation. I had the same issue, spent hours on the phonecwith TT with no success. When I deleted old forms it worked beautifully.
No.   For tax year 2024, there is a financial emergency exception, once per calendar year to a maximum of $1,000.   Please read this TurboTax Help article for more information.

After you enter your dependents, there's a question that asks if you paid more than half the cost of keeping up the home. It's possible that you haven't gotten to that question yet, so based on the information available to the program at the time, the single filing status is best. Once you get to this question and answer it correctly, your filing status will be updated.

@fredj4 not sure what your question is but if you have this situation and don't have too many sales with adjustments (wash sales, AMD or noncovered categories), you can enter these items as "one by one" in TT with the details, the input screen will have the same boxes 1f etc as the 1099-B.   This will put these items on Form 8949 in your return and there will not be any need to mail the IRS.   The balance of the 1099-B can be entered as a simple sales summary with no adjustment and it will all be consolidated on Schedule D.   If you already filed and it's a question how to mail the IRS you can send the 1099B with Form 8453 and check "Form 8949, Sales and Other Dispositions of Capital Assets (or a statement with the same information)" as the 1099B would constitute the "statement with the same information".

Box 11 of form 1095-A is the policy termination date. You do not need to enter it in your tax return.   This information is filled by the Marketplace and you cannot change it.
But that's not using Desktop TT to file it - it's using snail mail.    Desktop TT is just giving you the form to print out - you're not actually using it to file it.

Hi, I want to clarify something on this post.   Both of us live in West Virginia.   I earn wages (W2) in WV, nothing in Ohio.  My spouse lives in West Virginia but receives self employment income (1099-NEC) from an Ohio Source.   Your last post says one person is a non-resident.  Does this mean at least one person is a non-resident?      Also, with TT the Ohio return creates a federal return with my spouses income only.  Given that is not the actual return we filed with the Fed is it appropriate to send it in to Ohio?   Thank you

For security reasons we can not release that information.   However, the key is that you have to use the same ID and password as last year   If don't have the user ID or password, but still have access to a phone or email, you can still access your account. This is the fastest way to access your account if you lost or forgot your credentials. Go to the sign-in help page. Enter the phone number, email address, or user ID for your account. If you enter a phone number or email address, we’ll send you a text or email with a verification code. If you enter a user ID, choose the method you prefer. Enter the verification code we sent, or follow the instructions in the message. We may ask you for more info to make sure it’s really you. When prompted, reset your password or select Skip. If you’re still unable to recover your account, select Sign in a different way.
There are two different areas where TurboTax ask for your year-end value in traditional IRAs, so you may need to enter it a seconds time.  If TurboTax is asking for it, enter it.

YES!! I have the same beef with Intuit.   The whole point of buying the desktop version is that I don't want my tax paperwork online.    I want to maintain it all in one place and one place only - my computer.   The Intuit software allows me to actually file my taxes using this method - my computer - but it doesn't allow me to file for extension using my computer.    The only options are to use the online software (as mentioned - then there are two separate sets of books), or via snail mail (archaic).   Even the IRS form itself shows three options for filing an extension - one of them being "E-File using your Tax Software".   Well - except TurboTax desktop simply does not support that.     A glaring hole in the software.
