I received the same prompt to buy Audit Defense, but did not recall that it was included with Advantage. I went through the motions, but it simply formatted a receipt for my Advantage download subscription and a price of $0.00. I came here to search for "is Audit Defense included with Advantage?" and your question came up first. It sure would be better if the system simply said, "Don't worry, your Advantage already includes Audit Defense, without the need to reprint another receipt for $0.00 stating Advantage, yada yada.

Yes, you can claim a deduction for expenses you incurred to attend a convention of a charitable organization as a delegate or officer. It's considered performing services for the organization. For details see "Out-of-Pocket Expenses in Giving Services" on page 5 of IRS Publication 526. You enter the expenses in TurboTax as a contribution to the charity. Contributions to charity are an itemized deduction. It will not make any difference in your tax unless your total itemized deductions are more than your standard deduction.

I had a distribution from an inherited IRA. I put the amounts from my 1099-R into TurboTax, with the Gross Distribution and Taxable Amount being the same number. That increased my "Federal Tax Due" amount as I expected. When TurboTax asked for the amount of the Required Minimum Distribution, I put the full amount of the distribution, and the Federal Tax Due went up twice as much as when I first input the amount from the 1099-R.   Is that a glitch?

In the items you noted, it's not important whether it's Box 12a, 12b, etc.  They are all Box 12 and you want to look for the capital letter code in order to report these items in your W-2.  If you had HSA contributions they'll be in Box 12 with a code W.  That's how you'll enter it in the W-2 section to get the HSA section to show the amount.

You can file an extension. The extension gives you until October 15, 2025 to file your taxes without getting a failure to file penalty.  You don't get extra time to pay your taxes so you must pay any taxes that you may have that are due by April 15, 2025 so you won't be assessed the failure to pay penalty.   Refer to the TurboTax Help article How do I file an IRS tax extension?.  If you need to file a state extension, review the article How do I file an extension for my personal state taxes?

I filed a personal tax extension but I'm not sure if I have to do it for an LLC separately or not. I own 99% of the business, and 1% is someone else.
