To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/   Start the 2024 online tax return by entering some personal information then click on Tax Home on the left side of the screen.   On the Tax Home webpage - Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on the Year 2022 and Click on Download/print return (PDF)   If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.   Or go to this IRS website for free federal tax return transcripts - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript For a fee of $30 you can get a complete federal tax return from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf

First, check your tax documents to verify that you indicated that you would pay through a direct debit. You may need to login and resave your file with 'all schedules and worksheets'. Then look for a page titled 'Federal Information Worksheet' and look at Part V. This will list your banking information and whether you agreed to a direct debit. If you find that there is no banking information listed, then the default is that you would pay by check. If this is your case, you can pay the IRS directly on its website here.
TurboTax said it's a 3rd party bank that Intuit uses.  And is there a way to track the check ?

It may be best explained by example. Let's say you have a $95,000 balance in all your existing traditional IRAs and that balance consist of $45,000 in deductible contributions, $10,000 in previous non-deductible contributions and $40,000 in earnings (interest, dividends & capital gains). This year you make a $5000 non-deductible contribution and convert $5000 to a Roth. Only 15% of the $5000 conversion ($750) will be tax free. Your basis, in all your IRAs, is $15,000 (the previous $10,000 of non-deductible contributions plus this year's $5000 contribution). TurboTax will divide that $15,000 basis by the $100,000 balance ($95K+5K) to arrive at the 15% tax free ratio. This is the way the IRS requires it to be done. The calculations will be shown on form 8606.

Yes, you efile an amended OK state tax return. You should have received confirmation that your amended OK return was accepted. If you are concerned because you may not have received your refund to date, please note that amended returns take a long time to process.  Reach out to the Oklahoma Tax Commission first to verify the status of your efiled amended Oklahoma tax return here. Mailing in an amended return after its already been efiled can make things more complicated and messy.  @cadylynn14
If you are referring to your refund by check it comes from the US Treasury.

Sorry, I am in the process of converting M dollars.  I rolled over a roll over IRA to a traditional IRA and am waiting for the funds to clear. So since I haven't actually covered M dollars yet, would it be best to do that in a year that I am not using the back door roth feature for N dollars?

Thank you for your response. I spoke to an IRS agent yesterday and they couldn't find my 2024 returns at all in their system. The federal return was delivered a little over 5 weeks ago so I may just wait another week before re-sending the entire package. The agent was not able to provide any information specific to the Form 3115 which went separately to Ogden, UT either.   I plan to visit the local USPS today and see if they are able to provide any additional information on the Ogden, UT package still showing in transit. I like the idea of faxing over the Form 3115 instead of mailing it. I will just wait another week or so and if there's no update on either the Federal returns or Form 3115 that went to UT, I will just re-send the entire federal package again and fax the Form 3115 separately.

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst

I am a licensed residential builder in AZ. I paid sales tax on all the materials to build a house. When I sell it will I be required to pay federal and state income tax as well as capital gains tax? Seems like like when it's all done someone else gets about 50% of the dollars generated from the project!
