That box only needed to be checked if you were receiving the Earned Income Tax Credit. Otherwise there is no need to have the box checked and doss not affect your tax return or any tax refund.

Is the amount sent/issued by the IRS the same as the refund amount shown on your federal tax return Form 1040 Line 35a? - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If not, then go to this IRS website for information on reduced refunds - https://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc203
Are you also receiving a state tax refund? If so, the state refund is sent directly to you based on how you chose to receive the state tax refund, it does not go through the third party processor. Use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=m7ulm2n7
Did you request to have the TurboTax account fees paid from your federal tax refund?
Have you factored in the TurboTax account fees and the TPG service charge of $40 plus any applicable sales tax? Review your TurboTax account fees - Sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/ Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on View Order Details
If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the $40 service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the $40 service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.
For the status of your tax refund you will need to contact the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://www.sbtpg.com/

How did you file the return? If you efiled, look to see what the efile status that's showing on your Tax Home page. Does it say accepted, rejected, printed, started, ready to mail, or what? If you efiled, and if that confirms it was accepted, then use the Michigan refund lookup tool (see FAQ below.) On the Michigan Dept. of Treasury website it says "For e-filed state returns, allow 4-6 weeks from the date you received the accepted return confirmation before checking refund status." North Carolina is kinda slow with refunds. The NCDOR website says: "North Carolina began issuing individual income tax refunds on March 9, 2026..... Taxpayers that filed in January and February should allow up to 5 weeks from March 2 to receive their refund. Taxpayers that file in March should allow up to 6 weeks to receive their refund." @Mike9241 wrote: don't know about CA, but the IRS certainly does allow rounding. 49 cents or less, the lower whole number. 50 cents or more the higher whole number. if you don't like TurboTax's rounding on estimates, nothing prevents you from crossing out the amount on the voucher and writing any number you want Voucher? I'm not talking about the vouchers. And you're talking about rounding other figures related to income. Yes, the IRS rounds those. I'm talking about the actual estimated tax payments made. The IRS does not allow for rounding those. It will use your actual unrounded payments when calculating your refund. I did "make any payment I want" as you suggest, and while TurboTax rounded it, the IRS did not. Are you sure you understood my post? Let me illustrate. Suppose you made the following estimated tax payments: Q1 1,000.20 Q2 1,000.20 Q3 1,000.20 Q4 1,000.20 And let's say TurboTax calculates your total tax as $3500. It will indicate your refund is $4001-$3500, or $501. The IRS, however, will not refund $501 because you didn't pay $4001. You paid $4000.80. So your refund will be $500.80. So even though TurboTax rounded your payments, the IRS does not. And the point is not the 20 cents, in the example. The point is that TurboTax should get it right, since the IRS and CA FTB (at least) do NOT round the payments. Note: the figures used in the above example are for illustration purposes only.

Why QTP to Roth IRA transfer is not recognized by Turbo tax. It state they will issue an update, but so far nothing. Any Ideas?
