This year I filed my LLC taxes for the first time after much research, TurboTax kept telling me to file at this link. I continue to file even though I had questions. My first question was why is it asking for my Social Security number? I called TurboTax asked him if I was doing this correctly. She said yes. Again, right before I’ve paid $390 to file my taxes I called because it was asking me for my Social Security number, I asked customer service. It only asked me for my EIN one time. Why is it asking me to use my Social Security number to file my taxes for my LLC, the customer service representative told me it’s because I am the one that’s filing the LLC. And to go ahead and I was good to file everything was correct to my surprise my taxes were rejected so I called TurboTax again and the nice gentleman told me no ma’am you’re supposed to be using the TurboTax software to file your LLC let’s get you a refund directed me on how to get the refund because he knows that I needed a refund, he was also confused at why the other two customer service representative kept telling me that I was doing it correctly. Again to my surprise TurboTax will not refund my $390 so I can go ahead and buy the TurboTax software. I called a total of three times with only one correct answer I keep getting I filed my taxes so I can’t get my money back. They’re not listening to me. I’m about to call my lawyer and make social media post but I wanna try to fix this before I go and do all that. How can I get my money back due to their customer service errors
I am having the same issue - and when i try to enter in my FEI it wipes out my entire credit!
It’s been three days now since IRS has updated my [removed] to approved and TurboTax hasn’t gotten off their [removed]

was that 4/15 Turbotax or the IRS WMR website? Turbotax's date is 21 days after acceptance but can be totally inaccurate. I found that more taxpayer than normal filed close to the due date delaying the processing of refunds. you can use the following to try to speak to an agent (if you can get through). I doubt anything can be done to speed up your refund  Call 800-829-1040 1) Choose your language, 2) Then choose option 2 3) Then 1 4) Then 3 5) Then 2 6) When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN do nothing – wait - - After it asks twice, you will get another menu 7) Then 2 😎 Then 3 It should then transfer you to an agent.
you have two options 1) one safe harbor requires you to pay in 100% of your 2024 tax liability. It's 110% if your 2024 AGI is $150K or more. 1/4 for each period (see 2) for period and due date)  ... See more...
you have two options 1) one safe harbor requires you to pay in 100% of your 2024 tax liability. It's 110% if your 2024 AGI is $150K or more. 1/4 for each period (see 2) for period and due date)  2) use the 2024 form 2210 annualized income installment method to estimate your periodic liability. it's not really quarterly.  the first 3 periods end 3/31 (due 4/15), 5/31 (due 6/15), and 8/31 (due 9/15). There are also online tax calculators, I cannot say how accurate they are when it actually comes time to file. the AIIM is geared towards paying in 90% of your 2025 tax liability.    either method can result in overpaying your taxes. That's just the way the tax laws work. paying 100% of your 2025 taxes on 1/15/2026 doesn't work because then there can be penalties for the first 3 quarters which may be mitigated by using the AIIM.  state laws may vary.

First, you need to be sure the return was successfully filed.  It depends on how you chose to file the return.   If you filed a paper return by mail, TurboTax does not mail it for you.  If you chose that method, you would have had to print it, sign it, date it, and mail it yourself.  It takes at least 4 weeks for a mailed return to show up in the IRS WMR tool.     If you efiled, double-check to be sure the return was efiled successfully and accepted.  If you used Online TurboTax, you can sign into your Online Account and check the efile status at the Tax Home.  If you used desktop software, you can check from within the software. If that showed it was accepted, (or if you mailed a paper return), you can use the "Where's My Refund" tool at the IRS website below to monitor the status of your Federal refund.   https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund   Here are some tips:   If you efiled, be sure you have waited at least 24 hours after acceptance before using the IRS WMR tool.   If you mailed a paper return, it won't show up in the tool for at least 4 weeks or longer. Be sure you enter the correct tax year, SSN, and filing status. Be sure you are using only the Federal refund amount.   Do not include any state refund or any total refund or net refund (Fed and State) that TurboTax may have provided on a summary screen.   Look at your actual Federal return to get the Federal refund amount, i.e., your Form 1040, Line 35a. If you are also due a state refund, choose your state from the table in this FAQ: FAQ:  How do I track my state refund? https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_...

@ porsha905   Oops, I mistyped above.  I originally said within 5 days prior to the IRS release date for the funds, but I meant to say within 5 days prior to the IRS settlement date.   I have edited that above.  Sorry for any confusion.   The TurboTax paragraph I pasted above says it correctly.   I caught it pretty quickly, but you may have been emailed a copy of the original before it was corrected.

@ porsha905  asked:  "What if you don’t receive your return 5 days early?"   Edited 4/19/2025 at 10:56 PM Pacific In the first paragraph below I had said "IRS release date" when I meant to say "IRS settlement date."  It's now been corrected. ******************************   I don't know if you chose that offer with the option for your refund go to your bank account or to go to a Credit Karma Money checking account.   But in any case, if it's not within the 5-day period prior to the IRS settlement date, then you should not be charged.  See the TurboTax statement lower down.   Actually that offer says "up to" 5 days early, so it's not necessarily the full 5 days.  You shouldn't be charged (hopefully) if it doesn't arrive early at all.  If you do get charged anyway, we can tell you how to phone TurboTax Support.   "Up to 5 Days Early Guarantee: If your federal refund is not deposited into your selected bank account at least 1 day before the IRS refund settlement date (the date it would have arrived if sent from the IRS directly), then you will not pay the Up to 5 Days Early fee."   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund-advance/turbotaxs-five-days-early-refund-delivery-options/L9U8ngZlH_US_en_US

You didn't say what you are doing, so I'll take a guess.  Are you referring to the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool?   If the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool is not finding your information, here are some things you should check. If the IRS WMR tool is not finding your information, you can also try phoning the IRS refund hotline, again using the figure from Form 1040, Line 35a. I've seen it work for some users when the WMR tool didn't.  800-829-1954

Hi, I understand what you’re saying, and why it’s incredibly frustrating to have people tell you to increase your withholding when you have no earned income (salary).   im going to suggest you contact AARP (too late for this year, but maybe talk to them to plan for next year). They have a program to do your taxes for you, and it’s no cost to you. I hope this suggestion helps, and that you actually get this message! “The Tax-Aide program is the largest free tax-assistance and preparation service in the U.S. Beginning in February, thousands of AARP Foundation volunteers who have been trained and certified by the IRS welcome older adults in various locations across all 50 states.“
