I need to know which dependent has already been claimed?

Check the e-mail you received about the rejection to see if a number in brackets is listed in the message, like "Dependent Detail [1]." The number in brackets will identify the number of the dependent that is generating this reject. For example: "[2]" will identify the second dependent from the top as reported on the Form 1040.
