Unable to print NJ forms to paper file

I already e-file the federal return and need to mail in my NJ state return.  However when I go to the print menu and select return for filing a selected NJ, it just prints out 119 pages including federal and NY state.  The instruction is also not correct and the cover page assumed I am e-filing NJ.  Something is not working properly to trigger the proper forms for paper file.   In the past, I have been able to select state only, it looks like the filter is broken.

To paper file your state tax return, you will need to go back into the Filing area in TurboTax and select File by mail

This selection will generate the instructions for you to mail your New Jersey tax return instead of e-filing it and will allow you to print the forms that you need to mail to NJ.

See this TurboTax article for detailed instructions on how to file by mail.

I follow the steps in the turbotax desktop software and when I click print return to file, I still get 116 pages .  It first have 46 pages of federal forms and then 30 pages of NJ tax Form follow by 30 pages for NY non resident return.  It doesn't make sense to include federal and state returns.

I have paper file last year and it didn't include all those other pages.  Something is wrong with the Turbotax Software.  What pages of the Federal return and the NY non resident return do I need to include the NJ paper filing?

Yes, if you are filing your New Jersey state income tax return by mail, you are generally required to include copies of your federal return (specifically the first two pages of Form 1040) and supporting documents like W-2s and 1099's.

If you are claiming a credit in NJ for taxes paid to another state, you should also include a copy of that state's return.  Here's more info on Mailing NJ Returns.
