Filing an amended return: TurboTax filed Federal but not state

I am amending my 2020 tax return because I made a mistake originally. TurboTax has e-filed my Federal amended return, but I don't think it e-filed my amended state tax return. Under "Check E-file Status," my 2020 Federal Amended Return is marked as Pending, but my 2020 California Return is not listed as amended, and it's marked as Accepted. I don't see any option to e-file or paper-file it.

How do I make TurboTax file an amended CA state tax return for me, preferably via e-file?

To update, I called TurboTax support and they said they are seeing multiple reports of this problem. The workaround is to print and mail the amended CA state tax return.

to amend a state return is a separate step from amending a federal return.

If you e-Filed your state return, you should be able to e-File your amended state return, at least once.

after one e-File you have to send a second amendment on paper.
