Question

What does "Filing changed State to SUCCEEDED_AGENCY" mean under electronic filing history in turbo tax?

I opened my Turbo Tax Hm + Bus software (desktop-windows) and clicked under "File" then "Electronic Filing" then click on "Show Electronic filing Status History", it shows the following:

 "Filing changed state to SUCCEEDED_AGENCY"

What does this mean??

I e-filed our federal return but mailed/printed our state return.

Thank you

Forgot to add:

Under History, it also shows:

"Your return has been received and will be forwarded to the taxing agency at the appropriate time", along with the date and time.

I also received an email from turbo tax showing the return was "accepted" and in Turbo Tax under "Check e-file status"it shows "Accepted" Congratulations! The IRS has accepted this return and you're finished with your taxes. That is the first listing, then the "Filling changed State to SUCCEEDED_AGENCY" is listed about 15-20 times??

This means your return was sent and then accepted by the IRS.

How do I check my e-file status?

I understand my federal return is e-filed. My question was:

what does "Filing changed state to SUCCEEDED_AGENCY" mean?

In Turbo Tax under "Check e-file status"it shows "Accepted" Congratulations! The IRS has accepted this return and you're finished with your taxes. That is the first listing, then it shows:

Filing changed state to SUCCEEDED_AGENCY means it was sent to a government agency.

Unsure why it would have this shown multiple time, unless it was an issue transmitting the return. If you would like us to look into this further, please follow the instructions here to contact us by phone.
