Turbotax claims it e-filed my 2nd amendment to my 2022 CA taxes, FTB did not receive it???

I went ahead and used to turbotax to generate my 2nd CA amendment after I discovered one more income correction.

I made changes only to my CA taxes, still wanted me to enter the reason for amending my taxes on 1040X form as well. see below for what it claimed it had done

Why would it even submit an amendment to my federal return?

I chatted with FTB, they did not receive my second amendment Turbotax claims it submitted.

What is going on? CA tax due is different, and current than my first amendment CA tax due amount.

What do I do? Send paper copies of my second CA ameded return in? Why Turbotax is being so unreliable?

I can't see the image you attached.

You have to prepare a federal amended return in order to amend your California return. This is so because the entries on your California return can come from entries on your federal return. Even though you have to make changes on your federal tax return to correct your state tax return, you don't need to submit your federal return if the federal tax didn't change.

I'm not sure why your second amended return was not received by California, but if you filed it recently, they may not have processed it yet. I suggest you mail in another copy and send it certified to make sure they receive it.
