Question

Maryland - accepeted but still not processed?

My Maryland tax return was accepted on Feb 1 - but I've been checking the refund status website everyday and it keeps telling me it has not been processed yet. It was a straightforward return and not a big refund, is anyone else having the same issue? Or has anyone already gotten their Maryland tax refund yet?

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities,  There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.

    STATE RETURN

Make sure your state return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

    To track your state refund:

Both my Federal and State return was accepted on Feb 1 (confirmed via turbotax & email) - the state website still says "not processed"

Is anyone else in a similar situation?

I am in the same boat.  Federal and State Return was "accepted" per turbotax on April 11, 2024.  Federal refund was received a week later.  Maryland continues to say that return is being processed.  There is no one to speak to.  The only option is to send an email with the tax payers' name, DOB and social security number.  Not a very safe way to communicate as accounts are constantly being subject to cyber attacks.

I guess the next step is contacting a state representative to find out what is going on.
