You can restart you return as long as you haven't submitted payment, deducted the TurboTax fee from your refund, or registered.

Hello I purchased my TurboTax software and installed in on my computer I would like to know if there’s away I can clear my tax return and then start over. I have not filed it yet but I want to start over. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

If you wish to clear your return and begin again, you can select Tax Tools on the left menu, then Tools, then Clear and Start Over.

You can still file an extension today with an estimate of your taxes based on the information you have already entered. That will give you until October 15th, 2022 to file the full return. If you will owe taxes, you will want to pay an estimate of that now, so you will only on interest on any extra amount. If you pay too much, it will be refunded to you.
