If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over with a lower priced version.

  1. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2019 online tax return.
  2. Click on Clear & Start Over.

Hi. I need to cancel my order because I needed to urgently e-file and instructions indicated that I will be able to e-file with my non-resident alien (without SSN). However, it didn’t work and I’m told to print and mail it.

 

I found another service that allowed me to e-file my NRA splice without a SSN.

 

how do I go about cancellig the TurboTax Online Premium 2023 and State? Thanks.

I’m not getting no answers to my questions for my online taxes with TurboTax , I have tried to file And it keeps rejecting my account from the IRS . I want to cancel TurboTax and I want my money refunded for this package and I want my income tax deleted..Along with all my checking or debit account information

I have long had an annual subscription to TurboTax Deluxe.  Now I am 90 years old and my financial needs are far too simple for the Intuit products.  Please cancel my annual subscription--do not substitute some other product.  Thank you, Art Riggins

To cancel your subscription, simply remove all products in your TurboTax Advantage account:

  1. Sign in to TurboTax Advantage.
  2. Select TurboTax Advantage on the right side of your screen.
    • If you only see Sign up now, your subscription is already canceled or you're in the wrong account. Use our Account Recovery tool to get a list of all your TurboTax accounts, then sign in under the right account.
  3. Select Remove product under each product listed
  4. Once all products have been removed, you'll see the Sign up now button. This means your subscription has been canceled.

Tip: If you missed the cancelation deadline for this year's TurboTax product, simply wait until you receive your CD or download, then submit an online refund request within 60 days of receiving your product.     @Leslie Arthur Riggins

@Alexiarosecruz This is an old thread and you do not say what money you want refunded or why.  No one in the user forum can give you any sort of refund.  Only customer support can do that if there is a valid reason.

We can't delete your account, per se. But you can remove the data.   We will keep the username and password you created in case you ever want to return to the website.

If you would like to erase the data you have entered, you can do that by following these directions:

1.     While in your TurboTax Online program (after clicking Continue your return)
Select tools.

2.     Then click on Clear & start over.

3.     On the Are you sure you want to clear your return? pop up screen, if you are sure about clearing all your entries and starting over, click Yes.

4.     Then a new screen confirms you have cleared your entries, click Continue.

All of your entries will now be erased.

Yes, you can downgrade by using TurboTax's clear & start over,  As long as you haven't submitted payment, deducted the TurboTax fee from your refund, or registered, you can erase your return and start from scratch in TurboTax Online.

 

  1. Sign in and select a topic to continue your return.
  2. On the next screen, from the left-side menu, select Tax Tools, and then Clear & Start Over (select the menu icon in the upper-left corner if you don't see this menu).
  3. Answer Yes in the pop-up to confirm.
