how do I down grade from Premium version. I clicked on the upgrade by accident

Yes, you can switch between products in TurboTax Online.  If your return is more complicated, it will require an upgraded version,

 

Log into TurboTax.

  1. Click My Home (Top left)
  2. Select Personal Info and Continue
  3. This will bring up a full menu on the Left side..
  4. On that left menu, 
  5. Scroll down to Switch Products
  6. Click the down arrow
  7. You can 
    1. Upgrade
    2. Downgrade or
    3. Clear and start over.
  8. Select what you want to do.

Well, I don't have the downgrade option and when I go to the upgrade option and select do my own all of the options are greyed out.  I even tried to select start over but it tells me I can't start over... Really????

You can clear your return and start over as long as you haven't: 

 

  • Submitted payment 
  • Deducted the TurboTax fee from your refund or 
  • Registered your product.  

If you've done any of these things, you'll need to manually edit your return.  You can also downgrade your product without erasing all your info.
