Glitch Entered 1099-R showing correctly

I just discovered that after I entered a number of 1099-R’s this tax year, there must be a glitch in the software when I look at the entries I entered, they look correct, but just realized the return I filed this year is not showing a $5,000 entry on-Line 4B IRA Distribution ~ Taxable Amount, even though I see I entered it correctly, I also entered a tax withholding of $1,000 from the same 1099-R which shows correctly on the return. has anyone else had this issue, how do I fix this Glitch?? Now I probably have to pay a penalty, I did not realize I needed to go back & verify all your calculations. Is there someone I can talk to about this. I really feel let down by this after all the years I have used your software package.

your scenario can occur if you also had a QCD for at least $5,000.  did you?  is there anything on line 4c?

under that case, it is not a glitch, it’s the way w0rks.

what is the code in Box 7 and did you enter that correctly?

What code is in box  7?  Is the gross amount on line 4a?  Could it have shown up on line 5b instead?

7 is normal distribution, I think you are correct it is showing up in 5b. Thanks not sure exactly why but it makes my return correct again. Thank you to all who answered, have a great weekend!!

No line 5 is wrong for a IRA and the IRS will probably miss it and say you didn’t report it.  What was it from?  Line 4 comes from the l1099R little IRA checkbox between boxes 7 & 8.
