Rent payments

I have been renting apartments for a couple years now, the past 4 or 5 months I have been paying rent on my own on time. I've heard that rent payments can affect credit, but I still have 0 credit after all this time. Am I missing something?

Rent payments

They can have affect your credit but only if the lessor (your landlord) reports payments to one or more of the credit agencies. You can check if that is the case by reviewing your credit reports, which you can get for free from the site below.

what do you mean by 0 credit.  are you referring to your credit score.  ) is virtually impossible.

have you checked and of the free credit score sites.

do you have credit cards,  many now report your credit score or you can it from  there websites.

there are many credit reporting agencies and many formulas used to determine you credit score.  so if you have no credit cards  and no or little payment history on file you will have a low score but I doubt 0.

Im not sure how it would be impossible, when I check the turbo app for my credit/when credit inquiries are made towards me I have -- credit or 0. I just haven't done anything to build my credit I guess.
