Today is 2/21/2020 and Form 8863 is not working on my Turbo Tax. I checked for updates and it says it is up to date.

on the bottom of screen it says Form 8863   _ This form has not been approved for release at this time. You must obtain an update before you file....

Yes, this form is available and ready for use. Ensure you don't have the same student's name on two different forms 8863. A common issue that causes errors in TurboTax.

Problem solved.Ihad the same problem.Also i did manual update and didnt work.The manual update says i have no turbo tax instaled.So i bouth new turbo tax premier and it works.So from now on i will never buy  cheap downloads

You need to delete the form and reenter after the issue was fixed.

1) Open your tax return.

2) Go to the left side of the screen and click on Tax Tools, then Tools

3)  From the pop-up Tools Center  menu, select  Delete a form

4) Scroll to find the Form 8863 and Delete it.

5) Scroll to the bottom of the list and hit the button to Continue My Return

That should do it.
