Working on Deductions and Credits.. Education Expenses. The page says "Tuition and Enrollment Fees" are Zero. The link on "tuition and enrollment fees" says I entered them earlier. Where? I want to fix them, since they are NOT zero. Where do I go to fix them. (I don't remember entering them at all.)

Since you are working in a Desktop program, switch to "Forms Mode" (top right corner) and look at the student and 1098-T worksheets.
I am having the same issue. I entered this last year for my 2018 taxes. This year for my 2019 taxes, the tuition says $0 with no option to change.
Are there no credits or tax deductions for college tuition in CY 2019? Turbotax shows $0 for tuition and fees with no option to change it from $0. It also shows I received $0 for CY 2018 even though I'm sure I entered my tuition costs last year.
Last I heard, and I have no clue how true or false it is, there's a bill in congress right now to not only restore the tuition and fees deduction for 2019, but to also make it retroactive for 2018 too. If there's any truth to that, then if you've been watching the news, congress is to busy with other things to concern themselves with us at the moment.
To edit the 1098-T in TurboTax:
Congress did renew the tuition and fees deduction for 2019.
In the search box enter "tuition and fees deduction" and click the "Jump to" link to enter.
You entered your tuition on the input screen for the 1098-T Box 1 "Payments received for tuition and related expenses"
Taxpayers can once again take advantage of the Tuition and Fees Deduction if you, your spouse, or your dependent child have college expenses. The Tuition and Fees Deduction is an above-the-line tax deduction for qualified expenses for higher education like tuition, books, and other supplies, up to $4,000 even if you only took one class. The deduction is capped at $4,000 for individuals with adjusted?gross income (AGI) up to $65,000 ($130,000 for joint filers) and $2,000 for individuals with AGI up to $80,000 ($160,000 for joint filers).
Deduction for Higher Education
This thread actually originated back in Feb-March of calendar year 2018 on the "old" mesageboard and was moved to this "new" message board on Jun 1, 2019. But the casual reader would have no way of knowing that. The only way I know is because I looked at the date-time of everything in the entire thread, and take a look at the date/time in the original post. Shows it was last edited four hours *BEFORE* it was posted. Wow! Just call me Dr. Who!
To whomever posted the workaround/back door to edit the tuition info line by line: thank you! I have been trying to enter my 1098T info for over an hour, as TurboTax had set the tuition paid to $0 and was only guiding my through additional expenses.
To fix this, I had to go to the form itself, the Form 1098-T, in TurboTax. There you can enter 1 Payments for qualified tuition... and 5 scholarships or grants.
This is STILL a problem in TurboTax 2023 desktop edition!!! The work-around to use the Forms view to then enter the 1098-T directly solved the problem.
