I am helping a friend file taxes. They are going through the U.S. Career Institue to get a medical billing certificate. US Career Institute does not participate in title IV funding, however, they do show up on DAPIP (Database of Accredited Postsecondary Institutions and Programs) which is one of the links provided on the IRS website to verify if your school is eligible.
Eligible educational inst | Internal Revenue Service
So, while they do not participate with financial aid but are listed on DAPIP, can we still claim the Life Time Learning Credit going the no 1098-T route (and no EIN)?
Thanks for any assistance

Yes, you can claim the Lifetime Learning Credit (LLC) without a 1098-T if the school is an eligible educational institution listed on the DAPIP database, and you have proof of tuition payments.
