My kids attend private school, I was told their tuition is not tax deductible but their yearly registration fee and books are. If this is true, where would I enter this?

Those expenses are also not deductible for federal tax purposes.  The IRS considers those personal expenses.  It's possible there is a state tax deduction for these expenses; please contact your state tax agency for that information.
