If she received a refund for any portion of the scholarship and used it on anything other than qualified education expenses, then she would need to report this. If she used any part of the scholarships on room and board, the amount would also need to be reported as it would be considered
If her expenses (NOT room and board) were exactly equal then she would not have anything to report.
Generally, she would have received some sort of tax form for reportable scholarships. If she did not it can be entered by:
