If I paided out of pocket for my tuition spring 2017, in December 2016, and did not receive 1098-T because I only was enrolled in one class and it was only $620. Can I claim this school expense on my 2016 taxes?

Yes, if you paid out of pocket any part during 2016, you can claim those expenses on your 2016 tax return.

4.  On screen, "Do you want to enter your higher education expenses?" answer Yes

5.  Go through the step-by-step interview questions/ screens
