If I am in high school and do not have a job would I put student as my occupation when filing for the stimulus check?

Yes. If you are your parent's (or any one else) dependent, put Student-dependent.

HS students without a job won't normally get a stimulus check. People who are, or can be, someone's dependent also don't qualify. So, why do you think you should file.

if you are a tax dependent of your parents, you are not eligible for a stimulus check.  

Have you asked them if you are (I'd be surprised if you weren't)
