College tuition seperated

If I took classes, one semester for a graduate to begin a new degree and the prior semester I took 2 guest courses that would fulfill my continuing education to keep my license in physical therapy. can those two put into separate categories and if so does the continuing education go somewhere specific.

It depends.  If the classes that are continuing education are for a W-2 job then they are not tax-deductible.  If you have your own business for your physical therapy then you can deduct the continuing education classes are part of your business expenses. Link with more information about deducting continuing education expenses

The other classes that you took to begin a new degree qualify for the Lifetime Learning Credit (link)..
