I spoke with an expert today regarding this issue and was instructed to delete all forms related to the education credit to reset the system. I followed those steps, but the problem persists, and it appears there may be a software glitch.

On the entry screen, I indicate that the student attends school and qualifies for the American Opportunity. HELP PLEASE

Part II, of the student information worksheet, questions 2 & 3 must be answered YES.  Those questions come up in the 1098-T interview.
