Why is Turbo Tax forcing me to take a Qualified Business Income Deduction of $1 when I don't have a business? This seems like a red flag that I don't want on my taxes.

The Qualified Business Income Deduction can be applicable if you have any dividends from a REIT account. Did you have that type of income?

Ok-- I do have 2 shares of a real estate index etf - do I need to include other forms with my taxes with this or am I good with the 1099div?

Thanks!

You are good with the 1099-DIV.  You do not need to include any other forms with your tax return related to your REIT dividends and/or your Qualified Business Income (QBI).
