Why do I need a schedule 2 tax form?

Schedule 2 is used to report the following:

38-44 Reserved

45 Alternative minimum tax. Attach Form 6251

46 Excess advance premium tax credit repayment. Attach Form 8962

47 Add the amounts in the far right column. Enter here and include on Form 1040, line 11

If you are reporting form 1095-A you might need schedule 2 to report the tax credits that you need to pay back due to your income.
